The essentials: Esprit Boxe MMA sparring gloves in black and yellow. Open palm, free fingers for grappling, high-density foam padding, long hook-and-loop strap for a stable wrist. Built for MMA sparring and training. Available in sizes M and L. €39, free delivery.
The same build in a brighter colourway. Black picked out in yellow, with its graphic pattern and the Esprit Boxe label on the wrist: a glove that stays visible on camera and in a busy gym, with everything training asks for — striking, grips and close work.
Designed for MMA sparring
The open palm and free fingers leave all the mobility needed for grips, clinches and grappling, while the high-density foam padding over the knuckles absorbs strikes and protects your hands as much as your partner's. The long hook-and-loop strap locks the wrist for a stable hold under effort.
Material and finish
The shell is PU synthetic leather, hard-wearing and easy to look after, with a crisp HD print for the pattern and the logo. A house design, in the Esprit Boxe spirit.

Which size to choose
MMA gloves are chosen on hand size, not on weight in ounces as boxing gloves are. Measure round the knuckles, thumb excluded, and pick between the sizes offered. Between two sizes, take the larger, especially if you wear wraps or inner gloves underneath.
You may also like
- Black and gold sparring gloves — open palm and high-density foam, black and gold, if you want a dedicated sparring glove.
- UFC leather MMA gloves — genuine leather with the UFC design, S to XL, if you want a leather that breaks in and patinas.

All five models are gathered in the MMA gloves collection.
Frequently asked questions
What are the open palm and free fingers for?
It is the standard MMA glove configuration: it allows grips, clinches and grappling while keeping padding over the knuckles so you can strike safely.
Which size, M or L?
Size follows your build and the measurement round your knuckles. L suits larger hands, M intermediate builds. Between the two, take the larger if you wear wraps underneath.
What is the difference between MMA gloves and boxing gloves?
MMA gloves are mitts with free fingers and an open palm: they protect the knuckles while still letting you grip and grapple, which is essential on the ground. Boxing gloves are closed and far more padded: they protect more for pure striking and stand-up sparring, but allow no grip at all.
Can I have them with my own logo?
Yes, through our custom MMA sparring gloves: you choose the colours and the material and add your logo, from 5 pairs.
Do you need wraps under MMA gloves?
Yes, more so than in boxing: with less padding, it is the wraps that hold the wrist and bind the metacarpals. Prefer short wraps or inner gloves — a 4.50 m / 177 in wrap builds too much thickness inside a close-fitting mitt.
How do you look after MMA gloves?
Take them out of the bag after every session and let them air dry, fingers apart, never on a radiator. Wipe the inside with a dry cloth. A glove put away damp degrades through the foam, not the shell.
