Patent boxing boots

Patent is not only a finish. A closed, coated surface takes floor friction where an open mesh frays, which is why it turns up on the toe and the sides — the two areas a sliding step drags across the canvas.

Patent, and what it adds beyond the look

The coating seals the fabric, so sweat and mat resin wipe off instead of soaking in. It also holds a colour more evenly than mesh, which is what makes the red, gold and neon green read as clean blocks rather than dyed weave.

An upper that reaches higher than most

Seven pairs of eyelets run the full height to a padded collar with a notch at the Achilles tendon — the cut-out that lets the ankle flex without the collar biting.
