One number places him: eight.
Eight weight divisions. One man.
Manny Pacquiao is the only boxer in the whole history of the sport to have been world champion in eight different weight divisions. Twelve world titles in all.
To see what that means: his first world title came on 4 December 1998 at flyweight, a division capped at 50.8 kg / 112 lb. He would go on to win belts in divisions above 66 kg / 147 lb.
It is a span of size nobody else has ever covered — and one the current structure of the sport makes almost impossible to repeat.
Manny "Pac-Man" Pacquiao
- Emmanuel Dapidran Pacquiao, born 17 December 1978 in Kibawe, on the island of Mindanao. He turned professional on 22 January 1995, aged sixteen.
- A southpaw, known for his hand speed, his combinations and angles of attack his opponents do not see coming.
- Fighter of the year for Ring Magazine in 2006, 2008 and 2009, and named fighter of the decade for the 2000s.
- He beat Oscar De La Hoya, Miguel Cotto, Keith Thurman and Ricky Hatton.
- Record: around 62 wins and 8 losses in more than seventy professional fights.
- Senator of the Philippines from 2016 to 2022, and a presidential candidate in 2022. Inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2025.
- On 19 July 2025 in Las Vegas he returned to the ring at 46 against WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios: the fight ended in a draw.
What the pose says
On this artwork Pacquiao is neither in guard nor throwing. He is crouched, back straight, forearms resting on his thighs, fists closed and turned down. He is looking straight ahead.
It is the posture of a man waiting, not attacking — the corner between rounds, or the changing room just before. It matches his reputation: a boxer of disconcerting calm and politeness outside the ring, and of relentless pace once the bell goes.
What it looks like on
The portrait is a digital painting: brush strokes visible on the skin and the fabric, contrasts pushed, highlights emphasised. It is the look of a collector's poster, giving substance where a photograph would stay flat.
The white wraps on his hands and wrists and the white waistband of the shorts are the only light areas: they frame the torso and lead the eye to the face.
Behind him, a dark red ornamental pattern, symmetrical, printed tone on tone: it appears up close and fades at distance, where only the figure and the shorts remain. Two levels of reading in one garment.
Above, the handwritten signature in white, tracing two lines across the artwork.
On black, the reds set the tone — the shorts and the background pattern. It is the darkest and densest tee in the family.
Premium cotton, crew neck, short sleeves, straight cut. Plain back.
The detail that matters: the print is applied by heat transfer onto a PET film. That is decisive here: the artwork layers a dark red tone on tone, a painting with continuous gradients and a fine-line signature — three scales of detail the process holds in a single print. It stands up to wear and does not fade easily in the wash. Care: machine wash at 30 °C / 86 °F inside out, no fabric softener, no tumble dryer, do not iron the print.

Frequently asked questions
In how many divisions was Pacquiao world champion?
Eight — the only boxer in history to do it, with twelve world titles in total. From flyweight, capped at 50.8 kg / 112 lb, up to divisions above 66 kg / 147 lb.
Why is that record unlikely to be beaten?
It is a span of size nobody else has ever covered, and the current structure of the sport — mandatory defences, division timetables — makes moving through eight divisions almost impossible to repeat.
Is Pacquiao a southpaw?
Yes, and it is central to his style: hand speed, combinations, and angles of attack his opponents do not see coming.
Is he still fighting?
On 19 July 2025 in Las Vegas he returned at 46 against WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios; the fight ended in a draw. He had been senator of the Philippines from 2016 to 2022 and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2025.
Which size should I take?
