Ricky Hatton Hitman tee

- Regular price€29,00

The essentials: on 4 June 2005 in Manchester, in front of 22,000 people, he made Kostya Tszyu quit on his stool — and became the first British fighter of the year since 1928. This tee is a tribute: his photograph on a Union Jack, his name, and the dates 1978 – 2025. Premium cotton 180 gsm, heat transfer print. Black, 7 sizes S to 4XL, €29, free shipping.
This is not a fan tee like the others. It is a tribute, and the two dates printed under the name say so plainly.
Ricky Hatton died on 14 September 2025, in Greater Manchester, aged 46. The photograph chosen is not of a fight: it is of the moment afterwards, arms open to his crowd.
4 June 2005: the night that changed everything
That night, at the Manchester Arena, in front of roughly 22,000 people, Hatton faced Kostya Tszyu for the IBF light-welterweight title. Tszyu was then rated among the best fighters in the world pound for pound, champion since 1995, one defeat in thirty-three fights. Almost nobody picked Hatton.
Hatton set a pace Tszyu could not live with: constant pressure and work to the body, round after round. At the end of the eleventh, Tszyu did not come off his stool. Hatton was 26, and he had just beaten the man nobody beat.
That same year, Ring Magazine named him fighter of the year — the first British boxer to receive it since the award was created in 1928.
What made him singular: his supporters. Thousands of them crossed the Atlantic to follow him to Las Vegas, filling American arenas with English songs. Few fighters in any era have moved a crowd like that — and he never left the part of Manchester he grew up in.

What it looks like on
The artwork is a panel centred on the chest. Behind it, the Union Jack fills the frame, treated in a burgundy and white duotone — the crosses of the flag stay perfectly readable under the photograph.
Under the photograph, RICKY HATTON in large white capitals, then 1978 – 2025 smaller.
The panel fades to black at its edges: it dissolves into the fabric instead of being framed, which gives the artwork the bearing of a memorial plaque rather than a poster.
On black, the burgundy of the flag sets the tone and the whites of the photograph come forward at the centre. The tones are muted, there is no slogan and no bright colour: it is a restrained artwork despite its size, worn as a tribute rather than as a supporter's piece.
Premium cotton, crew neck, short sleeves, straight cut. Plain back.
Worth knowing: this is the only memorial artwork in the catalogue, with the years of birth and death printed under the name. That is what makes it a collector's piece for anyone who followed the career — and useful information if you are buying it for someone who does not know the fighter.
The detail that matters: the print is applied by heat transfer onto a PET film. That is decisive on a duotone: the image rests entirely on burgundy half-tones that have to stay separate from one another, right into the fade at the edges. The print stands up to wear and does not fade easily in the wash. Care: machine wash at 30 °C / 86 °F inside out, no fabric softener, no tumble dryer, do not iron the print.
