The anchor ring: what it does
On a bag hung from four straps, the load concentrates on four points. A steel ring redistributes it around the whole top edge. Over a club's daily volume, that is the difference between a bag that keeps its shape for years and one that sags at the shoulders.
Why the flared shape matters
A straight cylinder treats every punch the same way. An uppercut needs a wider target up top to stand in for an opponent's chin. The 50 cm top section gives that surface: the punch travels the real trajectory, rising and turning inwards with the hips. The 35 cm base stays a precise body target.

What is the difference with the angle bag without a ring?

Is this bag made for club use?
That is its strong point. The harder the bag is used, the more the ring earns its place.
Do you need gloves to hit a punching bag?
Always: wraps plus 12 to 16 oz gloves. Uppercuts put particular load on the wrists.
What weight of punching bag should I choose?
For English boxing, 30 to 50 kg is the reference range; for kickboxing and Muay Thai, where kicks come in, 50 to 70 kg. To start out, or to work mainly on speed, 20 to 30 kg is enough.
