How the artwork works
BOXING is set in very large capitals turned through 90 degrees, read top to bottom, running the full height of the body along the right side.
Inside the thickness of the letters, a boxer in guard is cut in reserve: knees bent, fists in front of the face, three-quarter profile. The black ground of the tee is what draws him.
The figure overlaps several letters and interrupts them — the word stays readable because the eye completes it.
It is the same device as on our vertical BOXING tee, but moved: here the block is not centred, it is pushed to the side.
What it looks like on
The print runs the full height, from the top of the chest down to the hem, set along the right side.
The lettering is textured white, speckled with fine dark dots — a worn screen print finish. The texture is part of the printed file.
The left half of the tee stays entirely plain, which balances the whole: the garment reads as a plain tee with an accent, not as a graphic tee.

Where is the print placed?

Is the word still readable?
Yes. The figure cuts across several letters, but the eye completes them — the same principle as on our kickboxing tee.
Is the speckled texture a fault?
No, it is part of the printed file: fine dark dots across the white lettering, in a worn screen print finish. It arrives that way and will not get worse in the wash.
How does it differ from the vertical lettering tee?
The placement and what sits in reserve. Here the block runs down the side and the figure is in reserve inside the letters. On the vertical lettering tee the block is centred and the word is in reserve inside the figure, in eight colourways.
