Why the ankle is cuffed
Straight trousers that fall over the shoe get in the way of lateral movement and catch on ring ropes or on the base of a free-standing bag. That is why tracksuit bottoms in combat sports are almost all cuffed at the ankle.
The cuff clears the foot completely and leaves the stance visible — which matters when a coach is correcting a plant or a pivot.
The cargo pockets earn their place outside the session: they close and hold a phone on the journey, where a plain jogger pocket lets it slide out.

A discreet marking on the thigh: the official Esprit Boxe logo, a vertical rule, then ESPRIT BOXE and FOR THE GLORY in small type.
The marking is single-colour and set against the ground — light on dark shades, dark on light ones.
