And still: two words that decide a night
Five of the nine designs carry, in small handwritten characters, the words And Still and And Always around CHAMP. It is not decorative wording: it is the ring announcer's exact phrase.
Reading the cards, the announcer says "and still" when the champion keeps the title, and "and new" when it changes hands. One word separates the two, and the room knows before the sentence ends. Fighters know it too: many describe waiting for that word rather than for the judges' numbers.
The design plays on exactly that: and still on the left, and always on the right, WORLD CHAMP in the centre, crown resting on the CA monogram.
