The essentials: recreational MMA gloves in synthetic leather — mitts with free fingers and an open palm, 10 designs to choose from. For getting started and for casual practice. €24, free delivery.
The same free-finger, open-palm shape as a fight glove, in synthetic leather and at an entry price, with 10 designs in the selector. The right choice for a first pair, for a club that lends kit, or for anyone training a couple of times a week without sparring hard.
What free fingers change
The free-finger cut and the open palm allow grips, locks and grappling while keeping the hands ventilated. The free thumb makes it easier to grab and control an opponent. Padding sits on the back of the hand to spread impact over the knuckles when striking.
That is what separates an MMA glove from a boxing glove, and why one pair covers every phase of a fight: standing, in the clinch and on the ground.
The 10 designs
The selector offers 10 designs on the same build. They change the look of the back of the hand, not the cut, the padding or the closure.

Frequently asked questions
Are these gloves suitable for beginners?
Yes, that is what they are for: the same free-finger, open-palm shape as a fight glove, in synthetic leather and at an entry price. Right for a first pair, for club loan kit, or for training a couple of times a week.
Why are the palm and the thumb open?
To allow gripping: an open palm and a free thumb make holds, locks and grappling possible. That is what makes an MMA glove usable on the ground, where a closed boxing glove is not.
What is the difference with a sparring glove?
The padding and the wrist hold. A sparring glove carries high-density foam and a long strap that locks the wrist for repeated contact. This model is built for getting started and for bag work.
What is the difference between MMA gloves and boxing gloves?
MMA gloves are mitts with free fingers and an open palm: they protect the knuckles while still letting you grip and grapple, which is essential on the ground. Boxing gloves are closed and far more padded: they protect more for pure striking and stand-up sparring, but allow no grip at all.
Do the 10 designs change anything else?
No. They change the look of the back of the hand only: the cut, the padding and the closure are identical across all ten.
Can they be worn with hand wraps?
Yes. Wraps hold the wrist and the metacarpals, and are worth adding as soon as you work a bag regularly. Allow for the extra thickness when choosing your size.
