Red boxing boots

The essentials: red boxing boots, upper to the lower calf, white stripes on the side, white lacing over the full height, reinforced toe and gum rubber sole. 12 sizes, EU 36.5 to 44.5 with four half sizes. €69, free shipping.
Red is not a styling choice in boxing: it is a corner. Every ring in the world assigns one boxer red and the other blue, so that judges and spectators can tell them apart from any seat.
All red, white lacing
Fine-mesh red textile with reinforced toe and heel, three white stripes on the side and white laces running the full shaft height.
Gum rubber sole
Gum caramel rubber, ribbed in circles, flat and cleatless. Circular ribbing turns the same in both directions, which is what a pivot on the ball of the foot needs.
Four half sizes in the grid
36.5, 38.5, 42.5 and 44.5. One full size is about 6.7 mm of foot length — enough, on a boxing boot, to decide between toes touching and a heel that shifts.

Frequently asked questions
Why are ring corners red and blue?
So that judges, officials and spectators can tell the two boxers apart at a glance from any seat. The convention carries through to gloves, shorts and shoes.
Do boxing shoes come in half sizes?
On some grids — and this one carries four: 36.5, 38.5, 42.5 and 44.5. One full size is around 6.7 mm, which matters on a shoe meant to remove play.
Which shoes for savate French boxing?
A high-top with a reinforced toe. Savate is the one striking sport where kicks land with the shoe itself, so the toe takes contact rather than just floor friction, and the laced upper holds the ankle through the kick.
Where does a gum rubber sole grip best?
Indoors: ring canvas, parquet and mat, where natural rubber gives the sharpest grip and leaves no mark on a light floor. It is an indoor compound by design.
How do you lace up high-top boxing boots?
Start at the toe and work up, keeping the tension even: a boot laced tight at the bottom and loose at the top holds the foot but not the ankle. Allow a minute per boot the first few times, and tuck the bow inside the collar.
Can you match boxing shoes to your shorts?
That is the usual approach: build the kit on your corner colour, red or blue, and match shorts, shoes and gloves to it.
