The essentials: black boxing boots, upper to the lower calf, suede synthetic toe and heel, white stripes on the side, ribbed gum rubber sole. 12 sizes, EU 36.5 to 44.5 with four half sizes. €69, free shipping.
Plain black is what most amateur federations ask for in the ring, and what every club accepts. It is the boot you do not have to check the kit rules for.
Four half sizes in the grid
36.5, 38.5, 42.5 and 44.5. One full size is about 6.7 mm of foot length — enough, on a boxing boot, to decide between toes touching and a heel that shifts in the counter.
All black, suede toe
Fine-mesh black textile with the toe and heel in synthetic suede, three white stripes on the side. A napped surface grips the floor slightly better than a smooth coating and hides scuffs, which is why it turns up on the two areas that take the most contact.

Frequently asked questions
Why is the sole gum coloured?
Gum is natural rubber without carbon black. Leaving that additive out is what makes the compound tacky on canvas, parquet and mat — and what keeps it from marking a light floor.
Do boxing shoes come in half sizes?
On some grids — and this one carries four: 36.5, 38.5, 42.5 and 44.5. One full size is around 6.7 mm, which matters on a shoe meant to remove play.
Which shoes for savate French boxing?
A high-top with a reinforced toe. Savate is the one striking sport where kicks land with the shoe itself, so the toe takes contact rather than just floor friction, and the laced upper holds the ankle through the kick.
How do you lace up high-top boxing boots?
Start at the toe and work up, keeping the tension even: a boot laced tight at the bottom and loose at the top holds the foot but not the ankle. Allow a minute per boot the first few times, and tuck the bow inside the collar.
What does a high-top boxing boot give you?
A laced upper that reaches the lower calf limits how far the ankle rolls in lateral movement. It is the format boxers who plant their feet to punch have used since the sport was codified.
How do you look after a suede toe on a boxing boot?
A dry brush to lift the nap, and a damp cloth only if needed. Synthetic suede takes water better than the natural kind, but brushing is what keeps the surface matt.
