What do you fill a punching bag with?
Cut textile and rags packed down tight for the body of the bag, with a little sand or granulate in sealed bags at the base if you want more weight. Never loose sand: it settles and hardens.
What weight of punching bag should I choose?
For English boxing, 30 to 50 kg is the reference range; for kickboxing and Muay Thai, where kicks come in, 50 to 70 kg. To start out, or to work mainly on speed, 20 to 30 kg is enough.
