What the artwork shows
The scene shows ground work, absent from boxing: one fighter is in the dominant position, kneeling over his opponent, fists cocked. The one underneath is on his back, arms raised in defence.
This is ground and pound: take the opponent down, hold him there, and strike from above. The method that made wrestlers such as Khabib Nurmagomedov so dominant.
The bottom position is not lost for all that: it is the guard, the place submissions and chokes come from in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
