The essentials: a mid top boxing shoe in black and white, 3 white stripes on the upper, black mesh and varnished overlays, flat black sole. 10 sizes from EU 38 to 44, half sizes included: 38.5 · 40.5 · 42.5. €79, free delivery.
Set a running shoe and a boxing shoe side by side, in profile. On the first, the heel sits 8 to 12 millimetres / 0.3 to 0.5 in higher than the forefoot: that is the drop, designed to cushion a heel strike repeated thousands of times. On the second, the drop is zero. The foot is flat, parallel to the ground, because a boxer never lands heel first — he lives on the forefoot, and every millimetre added under the heel pushes the centre of gravity back at exactly the moment it needs to be forward.
That is why a pair of trainers, however comfortable, works against footwork. This shoe applies the basic principle: a flat, thin, smooth sole with no cleats.
Black and white, laced to the collar
The body of the upper is black mesh, backed by varnished black synthetic overlays on the toe, the heel and the eyelet run. Three white stripes run diagonally across the upper section, and a white edge runs along the sole. Silver ribs are printed on the rear side panel. A pull loop is stitched at the heel so the shoe can be put on without crushing the counter.
Three half sizes
The range includes 38.5, 40.5 and 42.5 alongside the whole sizes. A half size is 3.3 millimetres / 0.13 in of foot length: exactly what is missing when one whole size pinches and the next lets the foot slide forward in a pivot.
What the mid top cut changes
The upper clears the ankle bone by a few centimetres, then is cut away sharply at the back to free the Achilles tendon. In practice: the ankle is held laterally on pivots, and rising onto the toes stays free. It is the most common height in the gym, between the low top that leaves the ankle bare and the high top that runs to the calf.

Good to know: the rubber is black. If your gym requires a pale sole on a wooden floor, the NON MARKING model meets that requirement.

Frequently asked questions
Can you box in trainers?
You can, but they work against footwork. A running shoe has a drop of 8 to 12 mm / 0.3 to 0.5 in under the heel, designed for a heel strike. A boxer lives on the forefoot, and every millimetre under the heel pushes the centre of gravity back. A boxing shoe has a zero drop: the foot is flat and parallel to the ground.
Are there half sizes?
Yes. A whole size is 6.7 mm / 0.26 in of foot length, a half size 3.3 mm / 0.13 in. That is the adjustment most ranges skip, and the one that matters in a pivot: too long and the foot slides forward, the toes hit the end and the weight moves onto the metatarsals instead of staying on the base.
Should you size up in boxing shoes?
Not on this model. The scale is in European sizes: someone who wears a 42 in town takes a 42 here. If needed, measure the length of the foot and apply (3 × length in cm + 4) / 2. If the measurement falls between two sizes, take the larger: a thin sock makes up a few millimetres, the reverse does not.
Is this a good first pair?
Yes. It has what matters — a flat thin sole with no cleats, a mid top upper and a full lacing — with three half sizes to get the length right. It is the least expensive model in the mid top range.
Are boxing shoes unisex?
Yes. The fit is unisex and the scale European. The width is standard: on a wide foot, taking the next size up and working the lacing gives more comfort than forcing the tightness.
How do you look after boxing shoes?
A damp cloth on the upper and the sole after every session, laces washed separately by hand, air drying. Never on a radiator: direct heat stiffens the assembly adhesives and shortens the life of the sole.
Going further
Low tops free the ankle completely; high tops lock it to the calf. The size and foot length chart is published once on the site, on the low top page. All the models are gathered in the mid top boxing shoes collection.
