The essentials: a mid top boxing shoe with a non-marking sole, NON MARKING moulded at the heel. Grey rubber with a crackle pattern, hook-and-loop strap and lacing, varnished panels. 4 colourways: black and silver, white and silver, white and gold, red and yellow. 11 sizes from EU 36 to 46 (US men's 4 to 11.5). €99, free delivery.
A great many municipal sports halls post the same notice at the door: pale soles only. The reason is mechanical. Black rubber is loaded with carbon black, a powder that makes the compound more resistant to abrasion but that leaves streaks on a sealed wooden floor or a pale vinyl surface. Those marks come off, but with a floor machine, and clubs end up banning dark soles rather than going over the floor every week.
The rubber on this model is grey and carries NON MARKING moulded in full at the heel. The wording is on the product itself — most makers relegate it to a spec sheet, when they mention it at all.
A sole pattern in two zones
The grey rubber is ribbed with fine crackle lines across the whole surface, a closed, shallow pattern: nothing that can bite into canvas during a turn. The plate overhangs slightly at the sides of the forefoot, which widens the base at the moment weight rolls onto the outer edge of the foot.
Four colourways, one build
Black and silver — varnished black panels, metallic silver overlay, black mesh, black strap.
White and silver — white mesh upper, silver grey overlay, white strap.
White and gold — white mesh upper, gold overlay, collar edged in gold.
Red and yellow — red mesh upper, yellow overlay, sole edged in yellow.
The wording Boxing series is printed small on the outer panel of all four versions.

Good to know: a non-marking rubber is less loaded with carbon, so it is softer — and that is exactly what gives it its grip on a smooth floor. It is made for indoor use, like the rest of the collection.

Frequently asked questions
What does a non-marking sole mean?
That the rubber leaves no streaks on a pale floor. Black rubber is loaded with carbon black, which is what marks a sealed wooden floor or a vinyl surface. A pale compound contains little of it, which is why many sports halls require it.
Should you size up in boxing shoes?
Not on this model. The scale is in European sizes: someone who wears a 42 in town takes a 42 here. If needed, measure the length of the foot and apply (3 × length in cm + 4) / 2. If the measurement falls between two sizes, take the larger: a thin sock makes up a few millimetres, the reverse does not.
How do I know the sole really is non-marking?
On this model the wording NON MARKING is moulded in full at the heel, on the product itself. Most makers put it in a spec sheet instead, when they mention it at all.
Can they be worn outdoors?
They are made for indoor use, like every boxing shoe: the sole is smooth, flat and cleatless, designed for canvas and for a sports floor. That build is what gives the feel of the ground and the pivot.
Are boxing shoes unisex?
Yes. The fit is unisex and the scale European. The width is standard: on a wide foot, taking the next size up and working the lacing gives more comfort than forcing the tightness.
How do you look after boxing shoes?
A damp cloth on the upper and the sole after every session, laces washed separately by hand, air drying. Never on a radiator: direct heat stiffens the assembly adhesives and shortens the life of the sole.
