150 cm is the height at which a bag stops being a punching target and becomes a full opponent: head at the top, body in the middle, thighs and shins at the bottom. For MMA and Muay Thai, that lower section is what a shorter bag cannot give you.
Why 150 cm for MMA and Muay Thai
A 120 cm bag stops around waist height, so low kicks land on air. At 150 cm the striking surface runs from head level down to shin level, which lets you put a full combination together — hands, knees, kicks — without moving the bag or your stance.

Frequently asked questions
Do you need a 150 cm bag for Muay Thai?
It is the height that makes low kicks possible: below 150 cm the bag stops around waist level. For hands only, 120 cm is enough.
Does this bag take shin kicks?
Yes — the first-quality PU shell and the reinforced stitching are built for the linear force a shin concentrates on a narrow surface.
What do you fill a punching bag with?
Cut textile and rags packed down layer by layer for the body of the bag, with sand or granulate in sealed bags at the base if you want more weight. Never loose sand: it settles and hardens.
Do you need special gloves for MMA?
For bag work, boxing gloves of 12 to 16 oz with wraps. 4 to 6 oz MMA gloves leave the knuckles exposed over long power rounds.
