On fight night you do not just put gloves on, you put your colours on. The lace-up Congo gloves carry the pride of the Democratic Republic of the Congo under the lights, with the hold competition demands.
In the colours of the DRC
Deep blue ground, yellow star and the wide red band edged in yellow running diagonally. The wrist carries a woven Esprit Boxe label, stitched in the old-school manner, with the For the Glory signature.
Three foam layers
The padding stacks three foam layers of different densities with extra comfort foam at the fingertips, over a nylon lining that stops the hand sliding.
Why lace up
Lacing wraps the wrist along its whole length and lines it up with the forearm, for a stability a strap does not match under heavy impact. It tightens best with a partner or a coach — that is the trade-off, and the reason it is the competition format.

Frequently asked questions
Why choose lace-up gloves?
Lacing wraps the wrist along its whole length for the best hold and power transfer. It is the closure used in sanctioned bouts.
Are these Congo gloves for competition or training?
Competition and intensive preparation. For day-to-day training where you gear up alone, the hook-and-loop version is more practical.
What size Congo gloves should I choose?
10 oz for competition subject to your federation's rules, 12 to 14 oz for the bag and technique, 16 oz for sparring.
Can you lace up on your own?
A partner gives a more even tightening. Alone, pre-tighten, slide the hand in and finish by pulling the ends — or fit a lace converter over the lacing.
