Technical specifications
Worth knowing before you buy
The cabochon is glass. That is what gives it its clarity, its magnifier effect and its scratch resistance, well ahead of a resin. In return glass asks to be kept clear of hard impacts on tile or concrete. For a keyring built to take anything without a thought, our solid metal models play that card.
The design is printed under the glass. It is therefore shielded from the rubbing of keys and cannot wear off. Simply keep glass cleaners and solvents away, as they can seep in through the bezel.
The clip is quick, not locking. Its spring trigger holds perfectly day to day, but it is not a screwgate. On a bag that gets shaken about, check from time to time that it has closed.
Care
A dry or barely damp microfibre cloth on the cabochon, as you would for glasses. The charms and the clip come back with a soft cloth. No glass cleaner and no solvent: the bezel is not sealed and liquid can reach the image under the glass.
