Machine washable, quick drying. €15, free standard shipping.
These are the wraps we use ourselves. Not an imported reference with a badge on it: a model built for real club use, with the compromise regular practitioners look for — enough tension to lock the wrist, enough give not to cut off circulation over an hour on the bag. A semi-elastic weave in nylon and cotton fibres, black and gold, with the official Esprit Boxe logo woven in.
Semi-elastic: the real difference
A 100% cotton wrap does not stretch. It holds, but it corrects nothing: if your wrap is a little loose, it stays loose; if it is too tight, it stays too tight.
Adding nylon fibres changes how the weave behaves. The wrap stretches slightly under tension and returns to shape: it follows the contour of the metacarpals, spreads evenly across the whole hand and keeps its tension through the session. That is why semi-elastics now dominate the changing room: the hold stays constant, even as the hand swells under effort.
On wrapping: a semi-elastic is pulled less hard than a cotton wrap, since it tensions itself. If you are coming from cotton, go easier on the first turns — it is the classic mistake on the first attempt.

Wrapping properly
- Thumb out, hand open while wrapping: wrap with a closed fist and everything tightens the moment you open the hand.
- Start at the wrist, work up over the metacarpals, then come back down to lock the wrist.
- Neither too tight nor too loose: you should be able to close the fist without discomfort and still feel your fingers. Pins and needles mean it is too tight.
- Air dry them after the session, never rolled up damp at the bottom of the bag.
- Wash them regularly in the machine, in a net so they do not tangle.

- Pair with pouch — cotton, 2 wraps and a storage pouch in 7 colours, if you are kitting out in one go.
- Gel wraps — a slip-on inner glove with no wrapping, if you are short of time between sessions.
- Camo wraps — camo in pink or khaki, in 3 or 5 m / 118 or 197 in, if you want to match the length to your hand.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between cotton and semi-elastic wraps?
Stretch. Cotton does not give: it holds exactly the tension you put in, loose or tight. A semi-elastic weave stretches slightly and returns, so it follows the contour of the metacarpals and keeps its tension as the hand swells during the session.
How tight should a semi-elastic wrap be?
Less tight than cotton. It tensions itself, so pulling as hard as you would on a cotton wrap ends up too tight. If you are coming from cotton, go easier on the first turns.
What do hand wraps actually do?
Three things. They bind the metacarpals so impact spreads across the whole hand. They lock the wrist so it does not fold back on impact. And they absorb sweat, which markedly extends the life of the gloves. The glove cushions, the wrap holds: the two do different jobs.
Are they suitable for muay thai and MMA?
Yes. The semi-elastic weave suits any striking discipline. In MMA the wrap matters more, not less: with far less padding in the glove, it is what holds the wrist.
How do you wash boxing hand wraps?
In the machine, ideally in a net so they do not tangle with the rest of the laundry. They air dry quickly. Avoid the tumble dryer, which tires the fibres and shortens the life of the wrap.
When should wraps be replaced?
As soon as they stretch and no longer hold their tension, or the hook-and-loop stops gripping firmly. A wrap that has lost its hold no longer protects the wrist, even if it looks intact. It is a consumable: better to keep several in rotation.
