Leather and brass, a pairing that ages together
These are two materials that move in the same direction. Leather darkens and takes on a patina from contact with the hand; aged brass lightens on the raised areas and keeps its recesses dark. After a year the object has not aged: it has settled. Every year of carrying adds to the contrast rather than reducing it.

Worth knowing before you buy
Leather is not carried the way metal is. It dislikes standing water: a sleeve soaked and then dried goes hard and can crack. Take the keyring out of a wet pocket and let it air dry, never on a radiator.

Never use polishing paste on the brass. It would lift the patina out of the recesses in a few passes and the glove would lose its relief for good.
Care
A soft dry cloth on the brass and the charms. On the leather, a barely damp cloth is enough; it darkens naturally over time, which is normal and sought after. Keep household cleaners, jewellery cleaning baths and any abrasive product away - those are the three ways to destroy both a patina and a piece of leather.
