The essentials: large format EVA foam floor tiles (100 x 100 cm / 39 x 39 in), 1 m² / 10.8 sq ft per tile and half the joints on the floor. Three thicknesses — 20, 25 or 30 mm / 0.8, 1 or 1.2 in (density around 80 kg/m³ / 5 lb/ft³) — a non-slip textured surface and puzzle edges that interlock without glue. Black and grey, reversible face, light tiles that one person can handle. Built for home gyms, fitness, lifting and conditioning. From €14 per tile (€14 per m²), minimum order 40 m² / 430 sq ft, delivery included.
The floor takes everything: sweat, dropped dumbbells, explosive footwork and the wheels of machines. A tile that slides or crushes ruins the session and damages the slab underneath. These large format EVA tiles solve that simply: 1 m² / 10.8 sq ft a piece, a firm grip underfoot, and cushioning that protects your joints as much as your concrete.
Large format changes the job
With 1 x 1 m / 39 x 39 in tiles you lay half the joints of a 60 x 60 cm / 24 x 24 in square. Installation goes faster and the finish is cleaner, with no chequerboard effect across the middle of the room.
Why these tiles last
Flooring is the most worked element of a gym. This one ticks the boxes that matter for daily use.
- Controlled cushioning. The density takes dropped dumbbells and the weight of machines without leaving lasting marks or passing the shock to the concrete slab.
- Quiet under impact. The foam absorbs vibration and impact noise — a real advantage for training in a flat, upstairs or next to neighbours.
- Non-slip grip. The raised texture steadies the stance through squats, lunges, burpees and fast footwork, even when things get sweaty.
- No tools needed. The edges interlock like a jigsaw, flat, with no glue or fixings. Roll them out, clip them together, train.

Which thickness for which practice
The rule of thumb: the heavier and more frequent the impact, the more thickness counts. The three options cover most uses.
- 20 mm / 0.8 in — fitness, conditioning, group classes and everyday floor protection. The balance between comfort and height.
- 25 mm / 1 in — lifting, dumbbell and bench areas, moderate loads set down on the floor.
- 30 mm / 1.2 in — cross-training, impact zones and under heavy machines. Maximum cushioning and the best protection for the concrete.
Laying and care
Lay edge to edge on a flat, dry and clean surface. The tiles interlock through their puzzle teeth and hold together: no glue, no double-sided tape. Along the walls, cut with a utility knife against a straight edge to follow the walls and the corners. A damaged tile is replaced on its own, without touching the rest of the floor.
Day to day, a damp mop is enough. The foam resists sweat and does not hold dust the way a woven mat does.
Large format or small squares
This 1 x 1 m / 39 x 39 in model is built to cover a large area fast — a garage, a basement, a machine zone or a lifting corner. For a yoga spot, stretching or a small conditioning area, our 30 x 30 cm / 12 x 12 in tiles in packs (also available in blue) are easier to handle. For barefoot martial arts, look instead at our puzzle mats or our vinyl tatami, built for falls and throws.
Frequently asked questions
What are these tiles made of?
Premium EVA foam at a density of around 80 kg/m³ / 5 lb/ft³, with a non-slip textured surface. It is a light, supple and cushioning material, made for indoor use in a home gym or a club.
How many tiles do I need for my floor area?
One tile measures 100 x 100 cm / 39 x 39 in, which is exactly 1 m² / 10.8 sq ft. Your number of tiles equals your floor area in m²: 20 m² = 20 tiles, 40 m² = 40 tiles. Orders start at 40 m² / 430 sq ft.
How are they laid?
Edge to edge, interlocking the puzzle teeth, on a flat and clean floor. No glue is needed. Along the walls, the tile is cut with a utility knife against a straight edge.
How thick should home gym flooring be: 20, 25 or 30 mm?
20 mm / 0.8 in for fitness and conditioning, 25 mm / 1 in for lifting and moderate loads, 30 mm / 1.2 in for cross-training and impact zones. The heavier and more frequent the impact, the more thickness you want.
Do they handle repeated barbell drops?
They absorb loads set down and protect your floor day to day. For olympic lifting and repeated drops, go to 30 mm / 1.2 in over that zone and land the bar on a dedicated drop platform: the EVA then protects the concrete all around it, where the walking and warm-ups happen.
Is there a smell on delivery?
New EVA foam can carry a light smell that clears after 24 to 48 hours of airing. Take the tiles out of their wrapping and keep the room ventilated on the first day.
