The essentials: the Esprit Boxe folding boxing ring, 5 × 5 m / 16 ft 5 in footprint for a 4 × 4 m / 13 ft 1 in area between the ropes, to rent in French-speaking Switzerland, with or without the Flexi-Roll mat. Set up in one minute, no tools and no drilling. Four rates: CHF 400 per day and CHF 650 for a weekend without the mat, CHF 500 and CHF 800 with the Flexi-Roll. Collection and return at the depot by you.
The word ring originally described the circle of spectators that formed around bare-knuckle fighters, and English still carries the contradiction by calling the fighting area the squared circle. A folding ring serves that first purpose exactly: mark out the space, keep the crowd outside it, and disappear once the evening is over.
This is a real training ring, not an event structure: steel frame, four 40 mm / 1.6 in ropes sheathed in faux leather over high-density foam, rope spacers, corner pads and turnbuckles. It opens in a minute and folds away in seconds, which makes it the right format for a club night, an inter-club, a gala, a film shoot or a corporate day in French-speaking Switzerland, without tying up the purchase price.
With or without the Flexi-Roll mat
Both formulas give you the same ring. What changes is the floor inside the ropes.
- Without a floor mat — the ring sits straight on the existing surface. This is the option for a venue already fitted with tatami or a sprung floor, and it makes the transport lighter.
- With the Flexi-Roll mat — 3 cm / 1.2 in of cushioning with a bonded non-slip surface, rolled out inside the ring. This is the option for a hard floor: concrete, tiles, or the boards of a multi-purpose hall.
To buy, the Flexi-Roll option adds €1,000 to the price of the ring. To rent, it adds CHF 100 to the day rate and CHF 150 to the weekend.
Two durations, collection at the depot
All four rates cover the same service: you collect the ring at the depot, set it up on your site, and bring it back once the event is over.
- Day rate — for a club night, an inter-club, a demonstration or a corporate day.
- Weekend rate — for a gala or a two-day tournament, or to have Saturday morning for the set-up and Monday for the return.
Before you book: folded, the ring is only 50 cm / 19.7 in wide, but it keeps the length of its frame. The frame rolls on its built-in castors, which takes care of moving it at ground level; the vehicle size needed for collection is confirmed when you book, with the exact packed dimensions. Where: French-speaking Switzerland
Rental is offered in French-speaking Switzerland only: Geneva, Vaud, Valais, Fribourg, Neuchâtel and Jura. The depot sits inside that area, which makes collection a same-day round trip from any of those cantons.
Outside that area, purchase is the route: the folding boxing ring is made to order in your club colours and delivered across France, Switzerland and Europe.

How much floor space you need on site
Start from the footprint of the ring, 5 m / 16 ft 5 in a side, then add at least 1 m / 3 ft 3 in of clearance on every face for spectators and staff: that brings the free floor to 7 × 7 m / 23 ft square. The corner posts stand 1.40 m / 4 ft 7 in high, which clears any hall ceiling. The floor needs to be flat; the ring is free-standing and needs no drilling.
Setting it up
The frame stays in one piece, with posts and ropes attached. You set it down on the area, unfold it, and the ring is ready in about a minute, with no tools and no assembly. Folding away takes seconds. Castors built into the base of the frame let you push the folded ring along, from the vehicle to the hall and back again. On the formula with the mat, the Flexi-Roll is rolled out inside the frame before the ropes are tensioned.

About a minute to open it, seconds to fold it away, with no tools and no assembly. The frame stays in one piece: posts, ropes, spacers and corner pads are attached and unfold together. That is what separates a folding ring from a demountable one, which is built up from separate parts.
Can the ring be used for a gala or an official bout?
Set at floor level, it is built for training, sparring and club nights. Official bouts are fought on a raised ring: for sanctioned competition, the platform ring and the competition ring are the right formats. For a demonstration, an inter-club or a corporate evening, the folding ring does exactly the job.
