Inoue rising sun t-shirt

The essentials: the fighter the pound-for-pound rankings place at the top of world boxing, and the only man besides Terence Crawford to have been undisputed in two divisions. This tee sets his name in capitals where the O is the red disc of the Japanese flag — the name, the country and the man in one mark. Premium cotton 180 gsm, crew neck, heat transfer print. Black, 7 sizes S to 4XL, €29, free shipping.
Three signs inside one
Look at the O. It is not a letter coloured red: it is the sun disc of the Japanese flag, set exactly where the fourth letter belongs. A perfect red circle with no outline, exactly as on the hinomaru.
And inside it, the silhouette of a boxer at full extension. It is not printed: it is the black fabric of the tee showing through inside the disc. The ground becomes the figure.
Three things therefore sit inside one mark: the name, the country, the man. That is what separates a logo from a piece of lettering.
Naoya Inoue, The Monster
Born in 1993 in Zama, Kanagawa prefecture, Inoue is placed by much of the pound-for-pound ranking at the top of world boxing, across all divisions.
His signature achievement: undisputed world champion — all four belts — in two different divisions, at bantamweight and then at super bantamweight. Only Terence Crawford had done it before him. Professional record: 33 fights, 33 wins, 27 inside the distance.
On 2 May 2026, at the Tokyo Dome in front of roughly 55,000 people, he beat his compatriot Junto Nakatani on points, unbeaten himself after 32 fights. The biggest event in the history of Japanese boxing.
Where the nickname comes from: Inoue has been knocked down only twice in his career — by Luis Nery in 2024 and Ramon Cardenas in 2025. Both times he got up and won the fight by knockout. It was not the power that made the nickname, it was what he does immediately after being hurt.
What it looks like on
The artwork forms a horizontal band centred on the chest, wide but not tall — it does not take over the torso. On black, the white of the capitals and the red of the disc both carry at full strength without competing: the eye goes first to the red point, then reads the word around it.
The capitals are block, very heavy and tight, sans serif; the red disc runs slightly above and below the line of text, which installs it as the centre of gravity of the artwork.
It is the most wearable day to day of the fighter tees in the collection: no photograph, no portrait, a graphic line that goes anywhere.
Premium cotton, crew neck, short sleeves, straight cut. Plain back.
The detail that matters: black is the only colourway, and it is what holds the artwork together: the boxer's silhouette is created by reserve, so the fabric itself draws it inside the red disc. The garment is part of the design — no other ground would allow it.

Frequently asked questions
What is the red circle in place of the O?
The sun disc of the Japanese flag, the hinomaru. It is not set beside the name: it takes the place of the fourth letter. Inside it, the silhouette of a boxer mid-punch is created by reserve — the black fabric of the tee forms it.
How does it differ from the other Naoya Inoue tee?
This one is a logo: the name in capitals, two colours, a discreet horizontal band, easy to wear every day. The The Monster tee is an image: a black and white photograph of the fighter with his fist raised on the ropes, with no text at all.
Why does this model only come in black?
Because the fabric is part of the design: the boxer's silhouette inside the red disc is not printed, it is created by reserve. Black is what makes it exist.
Is the print large?
It is a horizontal band, wide but not tall, centred on the chest. The word and the disc read from a distance, the silhouette appears up close: two levels of reading, and a garment that stays wearable anywhere.
Which size should I take?
Standard European cut: take your usual size. Seven sizes, S to 4XL, with the chest running from about 96 cm / 38 in to 132 cm / 52 in.
