The essentials: Esprit Boxe heavy bag in premium microfibre PU leather, black and white. 3 heights (120, 150, 180 cm) and 2 widths (36 or 45 cm) — 6 combinations. Straps, swivel and carabiner included. From €199. Free shipping.
Microfibre leather is the grade above standard PU: a denser, finer surface that stays supple under repeated impact and wipes clean in seconds. It is the shell used on the Esprit Boxe house line.
Six combinations
Three heights crossed with two widths, so you can match the bag to your ceiling and to the discipline: 36 cm for a bag that moves and rewards footwork, 45 cm for a wider, steadier target that takes power shots.
Three heights, three ways of training
- 120 cm / 47 in: English boxing and tight spaces.
- 150 cm / 59 in: kickboxing and MMA — the default if you are unsure.
- 180 cm / 71 in: Muay Thai, low kicks, taller builds and club use.

Frequently asked questions
Punching bag 36 or 45 cm: which width?
36 cm gives a bag that swings more, which suits footwork and combination work. 45 cm gives a wider, steadier target that absorbs power shots.
What is microfibre leather?
A denser, finer-grained PU than standard: it stays supple under repeated impact and wipes clean in seconds. It is the shell used on the Esprit Boxe house line.
Is this bag suitable for Muay Thai?
Yes, especially the 180 cm, which covers low kicks, knees and elbows as well as punches.
Do you need gloves to hit a punching bag?
Always: wraps and gloves. 12 oz on the 120 cm, 14 to 16 oz on the 150 and 180 cm.
How do you fill a punching bag yourself?
Cut textile and rags packed down layer by layer for the body of the bag, with sand or granulate in sealed bags at the base if you want more weight. Never loose sand: it settles and hardens.
