Key facts: the linking post that joins the panels of your padded MMA cage. A tubular post in high-tensile steel, 190 cm / 6 ft 3 in high, black, with connection fixings top and bottom and an integrated foot plate (pre-drilled, fixings supplied): it locks two neighbouring panels together and bolts the cage to the floor. Delivery included. €149.
The linking post is the vertical steel tube that builds the structure of a padded MMA cage. Set at the junction of two panels, it locks them together over their full height through its connection fixings, top and bottom, and gives the run its rigidity.
At 190 cm / 6 ft 3 in, it matches the height of the MMA panels exactly. Its integrated foot plate, pre-drilled with fixings supplied, lets you bolt the cage to your slab.
Two functions in one part
The post handles both the panel-to-panel connection and the anchoring of the cage: without it, the panels stay independent and nothing holds them to the floor.
- Joins two neighbouring panels over their full height.
- High-tensile tubular steel, black, 190 cm / 6 ft 3 in high.
- Connection fixings top and bottom to lock the panels together.
- Integrated foot plate, pre-drilled with fixings supplied, to bolt the cage down.
- Height matched to the panels (190 cm / 6 ft 3 in).
How many posts do you need?
The count follows the number of panels: allow 2 posts to fix 1 panel on its own (one at each end), then 1 extra post per additional panel, since each post is shared between two neighbouring panels. For a precise assembly drawing matched to your cage, our team works it through with you.
Compatible with our MMA panels
The linking post works with our padded MMA cage panels: the panel without a gate and the panel with a gate. It equips the welded, padded cages in the range, such as the floor-level MMA cage and the panel cage.

Frequently asked questions
What does the linking post do?
It joins two neighbouring panels over their full height through its fixings, top and bottom, and its foot plate bolts the cage to the floor. It is what turns a set of separate panels into a rigid cage.
How many linking posts do I need?
Two posts for a single panel, one at each end, then one extra post per additional panel, since each post is shared between two neighbours. An eight-panel octagon therefore takes eight posts.
Does the cage have to be bolted to the floor?
The foot plate is pre-drilled and the fixings are supplied, so the option is there whenever your slab allows it. That is what gives a padded cage its final rigidity.
Which panels does it fit?
The padded MMA cage panels, with or without a gate, all 190 cm / 6 ft 3 in high — the same height as the post, so the top of the run stays level.
Is a single post available as a replacement?
Yes, it is sold singly, whether you are extending an existing cage or replacing a post.
