Key facts: a padded MMA cage panel without a gate, the building block of our welded cages. Reinforced tubular steel frame, protective foam under a canvas sleeve around the whole perimeter, 50 mm / 2 in mesh with a plastic-coated galvanised core. Hydraulically tensioned mesh, rated to 500 N/mm². Height 190 cm / 6 ft 3 in, in 5 lengths from 150 to 250 cm / 59 to 98 in. Side hinge lugs built in for linking the panels. Delivery included. From €550.
This panel is the building block of our padded MMA cages. It combines a reinforced tubular steel frame, protective foam under a canvas sleeve around the whole perimeter, and 50 mm / 2 in mesh with a plastic-coated galvanised core.
Built for heavy use, its mesh is hydraulically tensioned and rated to 500 N/mm², with controlled deflection — 10 cm / 4 in of rebound at most. It clads the structure of your cage and protects the fighters at the same time.
Available in five lengths from 150 to 250 cm / 59 to 98 in and 190 cm / 6 ft 3 in high, this panel serves to build a cage, to extend one, or to replace an element on an existing structure.
Competition-grade mesh
The mesh is hydraulically tensioned and reaches a rated strength of 500 N/mm². Its deflection is controlled, with rebound limited to 10 cm / 4 in: a wall that takes takedowns without giving way.
Why choose this MMA cage panel?
Because it brings together the comfort of a padded frame and the strength of competition mesh, in a modular format that bolts up easily.
- Reinforced tubular frame, protective foam plus canvas sleeve around the whole perimeter.
- 50 mm / 2 in mesh, plastic-coated galvanised core, abrasion resistant.
- Hydraulically tensioned, rated 500 N/mm², 10 cm / 4 in maximum rebound.
- Height 190 cm / 6 ft 3 in, 5 lengths from 150 to 250 cm / 59 to 98 in.
- Side hinge lugs built in for linking the panels.
- Modular: to build, extend or replace a panel.
Construction and mesh
The tubular frame is reinforced, then wrapped in protective foam which is itself sleeved in canvas around the whole edge of the panel: the edges are padded to soften contact. The mesh, at 50 mm / 2 in with a plastic-coated galvanised core, resists corrosion and limits abrasion during work against the wall. Hydraulically tensioned, it is rated to 500 N/mm² and keeps its deflection under control, with 10 cm / 4 in of rebound at most.
Five lengths, height 190 cm
The panel comes in five lengths, all 190 cm / 6 ft 3 in high:
- Panel 150 cm / 59 in.
- Panel 175 cm / 69 in.
- Panel 200 cm / 79 in.
- Panel 225 cm / 89 in.
- Panel 250 cm / 98 in.
How the panels link together
The panels are joined by a vertical linking post, which slots into the side hinge lugs built into the panel. This panel ships with its lugs; the linking post is sold separately.
Which cages does it fit?
This padded panel equips our welded, padded MMA cages, such as the floor-level MMA cage and the panel cage. It is used to build a bespoke cage, to extend one, or to replace a damaged panel.

Frequently asked questions
What mesh size does an MMA cage use?
50 mm / 2 in here, with a plastic-coated galvanised core. Hydraulically tensioned, the mesh is rated to 500 N/mm² and keeps its rebound to 10 cm / 4 in at most.
How many panels does an octagon take?
Eight, one of which needs to be a gate panel to create the access. Add eight linking posts, since each post is shared between two neighbouring panels.
How do the panels join?
Through a vertical linking post that slots into the side lugs built into each panel. The lugs come with the panel; the post is ordered separately.
Can I replace a single panel?
Yes. The panel is sold singly, whether you are building a cage, extending one or replacing a damaged element on an existing structure.
What are the dimensions?
190 cm / 6 ft 3 in high, in five lengths from 150 to 250 cm / 59 to 98 in. The height is common to the whole range, so panels and linking posts line up.
