The essentials: a free standing punching bag stand in powder-coated reinforced steel. Takes a bag up to 150 kg / 331 lb. Dimensions 208 x 143 x 126 cm / 82 x 56 x 50 in, wide base with ballast pegs and non-slip suction pads, angled rear upright against tipping. Supplied complete with 4 ballast weights, fasteners and instructions. No drilling. €299, free standard shipping.
The stand for heavy bags. Where most free standing supports top out around 80 kg / 176 lb, this one takes up to 150 kg / 331 lb: you can hang a 180 cm / 71 in bag filled without compromise. And since the ballast weights are supplied, it is stable from the first round, with nothing more to buy.
150 kg / 331 lb working load
The reinforced steel frame with its powder-coated finish — a paint baked on as a powder, far more resistant to scratches and corrosion than a standard lacquer — takes a bag up to 150 kg / 331 lb. That is the deciding figure if you are after a long, heavy bag, or if several people strike it daily: club, gym, association.
Stability: ballast supplied, suction pads and angled upright
Three arrangements work together against sway:
- Ballast pegs on the base: they take the 4 weights supplied — and also accept your own weight plates to go further.
- Suction pads under the feet: they grip the floor and protect the surface, wooden floors included.
- Angled rear upright: it takes the backward thrust and prevents tipping on heavy strikes.
Free standing: no drilling
No fixing to the floor or the wall. No load-bearing wall to find, no ceiling to drill, no landlord to ask: this is the answer for tenants and for every situation where hanging a bag from the structure is not possible.
Tie-down rings and resistance bands
The base has anchor rings that do two jobs. First, tying down the bottom of the bag: strapping it towards the floor sharply reduces swing and makes heavy strikes more realistic. Second, hooking on resistance bands for conditioning work between rounds without extra kit.
208 x 143 x 126 cm / 82 x 56 x 50 in
The stand is 208 cm / 82 in tall, on a footprint of 143 x 126 cm / 56 x 50 in. That height suits the great majority of domestic ceilings and lets a long bag hang clear of the floor. The base, more compact than that of the pull-up bar models, tucks into a corner of a garage, a living room or a gym.
Quick assembly, complete set
The stand is supplied complete: frame, 4 ballast weights, fasteners and quick assembly instructions. Putting it together needs no special tools.

Fitting and use
- Fit the 4 weights during assembly: they are part of the stability, not an optional extra.
- Tie the bottom of the bag to the base rings to limit swing and work closer in.
- Allow the room: 143 x 126 cm / 56 x 50 in on the floor, plus space to move around the bag.
- Protect the floor: the suction pads already spare the surface; a mat underneath damps vibration as well.
- Re-check the fasteners after the first sessions, then periodically: vibration loosens joints over time.
Frequently asked questions
What bag weight does it take?
Up to 150 kg / 331 lb, which covers a 180 cm / 71 in bag filled without compromise.
Are the ballast weights supplied?
Yes, 4 weights are included and mount on the pegs of the base. They are part of the stability, so fit them during assembly. The base also accepts your own weight plates.
Do I have to drill the wall or the ceiling?
No. The stand is free standing: no wall fixing, no ceiling drilling — the answer for tenants and for buildings where hanging a bag is not allowed.
Does the stand move when you strike hard?
Three arrangements work against it: the 4 ballast weights, the suction pads under the feet and the angled rear upright that takes the backward thrust. Tying the bottom of the bag to the base rings reduces swing further.
How much room does it need?
The footprint is 143 x 126 cm / 56 x 50 in for a height of 208 cm / 82 in, plus room to move around the bag.
Is it suitable for club use?
Yes. The 150 kg / 331 lb rating and the supplied ballast make it usable by several people daily. Re-check the fasteners periodically, as you would on any equipment in constant use.
