Short sleeve rashguard

The essentials: a rash guard, not a t-shirt — a compression garment in technical polyester, worn close to the body to protect the skin from friction on the ground. Esprit Boxe range, chest mark and back print. Available alone or with 2-in-1 shorts. 4 sizes, S to XL, €29, free shipping.
The garment worn by grappling and MMA practitioners — not for the look, for the skin. It comes alone or with a 2-in-1 short with a built-in compression liner, which gives the standard ground-training configuration: close-fitting on top, free below.
What a rash guard is for
The name comes from rash. That is exactly its function.
On the ground the skin rubs against the mat, against the opponent, against the grips. Bare-chested, that produces mat burn and makes it easier for skin infections to travel on shared surfaces.
A rash guard settles three things at once:
- It protects the skin from friction and abrasion
- It wicks sweat out through the fabric and dries fast
- It gives no grip to the opponent, unlike a loose t-shirt
Compression also supports the muscles under effort and limits vibration on impact.
The 2-in-1 shorts option
The selector offers the rash guard alone or the set with shorts.
The shorts are called 2-in-1: an outer drawstring short with a built-in compression liner. The liner prevents chafing between the thighs and stays put through movement; the outer short leaves freedom of movement.
That is the standard ground-training configuration: close-fitting on top, free below.
What it looks like on
The cut — close to the body, short sleeves, raglan shoulder seams following the line of the arm rather than cutting across it.
Front — the official Esprit Boxe logo in white on the chest: the arms-raised figure in a square.
Back — the brand with the FOR THE GLORY wording, on one line across the upper back.
The shorts, optional, carry the same marking at the bottom of the leg.
Black, white markings.
Good to know — this rash guard is a compression garment: it is worn tight, which is what lets it do its job. It runs from S to XL. For a loose cotton top, see our boxing t-shirts, available up to 4XL.

Frequently asked questions
What do you wear under a rash guard?
Nothing more than underwear: a rash guard is worn against the skin. That is its function — wicking sweat and limiting friction. Layering a t-shirt underneath cancels both.
Short or long sleeves for a rash guard?
Short sleeves leave more freedom at the shoulders and suit grappling and MMA in the gym. Long sleeves protect the forearms from mat burn, useful in extended jiu-jitsu ground work.
What are 2-in-1 shorts?
An outer drawstring short with a built-in compression liner. The liner prevents chafing between the thighs and stays put; the outer short leaves freedom of movement. It is offered as an option in the selector.
Should a rash guard be tight?
Yes: it is a compression garment, and that is what lets it work — no folds, no grip, muscular support. Take your usual size for standard support.
Which disciplines is it for?
Any that involve ground work: MMA, grappling, no-gi Brazilian jiu-jitsu, wrestling. It also works as a base layer for boxing and cardio.
How do I care for it?
Machine at 30 °C / 86 °F, no fabric softener — it clogs the fibres and kills the wicking — no tumble dryer and no ironing. Wash it after every session.
