Of the five flags in our range, this is the only one that combines stripes with a canton: a red and white striped field, and a blue rectangle carrying the stars. That asymmetric layout lands unusually well on a boxing glove, for a reason most people only notice with the object in hand.
The blue canton lands on the top of the fist
That is the striking surface of a glove, and the first thing you see when the object hangs from a mirror. On this model it is taken up by the starred blue, while the red and white stripes dress the sides and follow the curve. The flag is not laid flat on the glove: it wraps around it.

A United States flag means thirteen stripes and fifty stars. Across 5.5 cm / 2.2 in, on a domed surface, no stitching can carry that. Everything is therefore printed: stripes and stars alike, in a single pass on the cover.

Soft glove or metal keyring?

Worth knowing before you buy
The flag is printed throughout. Unlike our tricolour models, whose bands are stitched panels, here the stripes and the stars sit on the surface. No solvent, no acetone, no disinfectant wipe: a damp cloth without rubbing is all it takes.
White covers a lot of ground. Between the light stripes and the cuff, that is what makes the flag readable from across a room. The PU cover does not absorb: what settles stays on the surface and lifts with a little soapy water.

Care
A soft cloth, barely damp, then air dry. On the white stripes, a little soapy water lifts marks. Across the printed design, wipe rather than rub: the stars are the finest lines of the drawing, and that is how they stay crisp.
