This is not a bottle: it is a travel mug. The body tapers slightly, the lid opens on a swivel flap you turn with a thumb, and you drink straight through the opening — no unscrewing, no letting go of the wheel. 6.3 cm at the base: the dimension that matters
That is the diameter of the bottom, not the top. A car cup holder generally takes up to 7 cm / 2.8 in: at 6.3 cm / 2.4 in this mug drops in without forcing and without rattling. That is exactly why the body tapers — wide at the top to drink comfortably, narrow at the base to sit in a holder.
The flip lid
A quarter turn of the thumb opens the drinking port; the same movement in reverse closes it. It is the travel mug system, built to be worked one handed — in the car, walking, or between two exercises.
It also holds back splashes when the car brakes or the mug is knocked on a desk. A flap is not a screw cap, though: carry the mug upright rather than lying at the bottom of a bag.
304 stainless steel and double wall
The inner wall is 304 steel, the food grade of professional kitchens: it does not rust, does not pass on a metallic taste and handles coffee as well as acidic drinks.
The insulation comes from the vacuum between the two walls. Two effects: the drink holds temperature for 6 to 12 hours, and the outside never turns scalding or damp — no condensation runs onto your fingers or the dashboard.

Good to know before ordering
The mug travels upright. The swivel flap holds back splashes in normal use and works one handed; for carrying flat at the bottom of a gym bag, our insulated bottle with a screw cap is the format built for that.
The 6 to 12 h figure assumes a closed mug. Every opening of the flap brings the performance down: a coffee sipped every ten minutes cools far faster than a mug filled and left as it is.
No dishwasher, no microwave. Hand washing preserves the print and the lid seal; the microwave is out on any steel container as a matter of course.
Care
Rinse the body in warm soapy water after each use, with a bottle brush if you put coffee or tea in it.
The critical part is the lid. The flap mechanism and its seal hold residue you cannot see: take apart what comes apart, brush under warm water, and dry it separately from the body. A lid closed damp on a coffee mug develops odours and deposits within days — it is the first reason travel mugs get abandoned.
