In short: cushion cover only carrying the NO BOXING NO LIFE block, pink on black, vintage serif lettering with scrolls and four stars. 4 sizes: 30, 40, 45 and 50 cm / 12, 16, 18 and 20 in. Soft handle, machine washable. Insert not included. From €23 to €29. Free standard shipping.
Saúl Canelo Álvarez made NO BOXING NO LIFE his public motto after his first WBC world title in 2011, and the phrase has since left his camp for gyms everywhere. The block is printed here in pink, ringed with scrolls and four stars, on solid black: at five metres / sixteen feet you read the three lines, at one metre / three feet you pick out the vintage grain in the serifs.
A true pink on black
Saturated pink against deep black is the contrast that carries furthest at a given light level: the block stays legible from the far end of a five metre / sixteen foot room, artificial evening light included. On a grey sofa, a charcoal throw or a dark bed, the cover works as the accent piece — the one coloured object the room needs.

One motto, two objects
The same block runs on our No Boxing No Life mug, in white across six ceramic colours, with the CA monogram of Saúl Canelo Álvarez added under the lettering. That is the difference between the two: the cover carries the block on its own, the mug adds the monogram. The mug goes to the office or the gym bag, the cover stays on the sofa.
Which insert to buy
Take an insert 2 cm / 0.8 in larger than the cover so it stays taut and the block sits flat at the centre. The full cover-versus-insert guide lives on our boxing cushion cover listing.
Good to know before ordering
This is a cover, not a cushion. The parcel holds the printed cover on its own; inserts are sold in every home store for a few pounds. Our UFC belt cushion ships filled.
The pink is true, not pastel. On screen and in the room it is a saturated pink. It is an accent piece: it gives the colour point to a beige, taupe or grey room and stands on its own there.
Printed on the front face. The reverse is plain black, handy for flipping the cushion when you want the quiet side out.
FAQ
Is the cushion insert included?
No, the parcel holds the printed cover on its own. Buy an insert to the cover size, ideally 2 cm / 0.8 in larger, for a taut finish with square corners.
What does No Boxing No Life mean?
Taken literally: no boxing, no life. It is the public motto of Saúl Canelo Álvarez, WBC super middleweight world champion, which moved from his camp to gyms worldwide. Anyone who trains recognises it without explanation.
Does it come in a colour other than pink?
On this cover the block is pink on black across all four sizes. For black and gold, our Rocky Balboa cushion cover brings the Balboa Boxing Club block; for black and white, the Italian Stallion cover brings the stallion head roundel.
What size cushion cover fits a standard sofa?
45 x 45 cm / 18 x 18 in is the standard sofa size in the UK and the US. 40 cm / 16 in suits an armchair, 30 cm / 12 in a desk or car seat, 50 cm / 20 in a large sofa or a headboard.
How do I wash it without damaging the lettering?
Machine wash at 30 °C / 86 °F, cover turned inside out, no bleach, then line dry. At that temperature the pink keeps its original saturation and the black its depth, wash after wash.
Does it make a good gift?
For anyone who knows the motto, yes: no body size to guess, an object in sight every day, and a phrase that lands straight away in the gym. The matching mug rounds the gift off.
