On 2 November 2019 in Las Vegas, Canelo Alvarez moved up to light heavyweight and stopped Sergey Kovalev in the eleventh. It was his fourth weight class and his fourth world title, taken from a man who carried that weight naturally. The crown, in the Mexican's imagery, dates from that period.
