Decorative rug3 sizes
The essentials. Decorative doormat with NO BOXING NO LIFE lettering in pink, punctuated with stars, on a black ground. Three sizes, 40 x 60, 50 x 80 and 60 x 90 cm / 16 x 24, 20 x 31 and 24 x 35 in, from €19 to €29. Non-slip gripper backing, machine washable.
The NO BOXING NO LIFE block is printed as one piece, in pink on black, set on two crossed sweeps and punctuated by four stars. Pink is the only colour in the design: no outline, no shadow, no second tone.
What is printed
The block covers a little over half the width of the mat and stays centred, with black ground on either side at every size. The type is serif and slanted, the two short words set small above the two long ones.
On dark tiles the pink holds its intensity: the lettering still reads at five metres / sixteen feet.
Choosing your size
Three sizes, 40 x 60, 50 x 80 and 60 x 90 cm / 16 x 24, 20 x 31 and 24 x 35 in. The size chart tells you which size matches which door.
Technical specifications
Good to know. The motto reads in gyms as shorthand for the place the sport takes in a life. It is printed as a single block, so it works as much as a graphic shape as a phrase.

Frequently asked questions
What size doormat should I choose?
40 x 60 cm / 16 x 24 in suits a 70 to 80 cm / 28 to 31 in door, 50 x 80 cm / 20 x 31 in a standard 90 cm / 35 in front door, and 60 x 90 cm / 24 x 35 in a double door or a kitchen sink front. Pick a mat slightly wider than the opening, otherwise people step around it instead of on it.
Can a doormat go in the washing machine?
This one can, then dry it flat. Flat drying keeps the gripper backing in shape, which is where every non-slip mat suffers in a tumble dryer.
Will the pink hold up in the wash?
The print is set into the fibre rather than laid on the surface. A machine wash followed by flat drying is what preserves the shade best: tumble drying is what damages the gripper backing and dulls bright colours.
Is this doormat suitable for a home gym?
Yes, at the doorway or in front of a rack. For a full training surface you need a large format: the boxing bedroom rug goes up to 160 x 200 cm / 63 x 79 in.
Can it be used outdoors, in front of the entrance door?
It is built for indoor use: the surface is textile and absorbs moisture rather than scraping soles. Under a covered porch it holds up; in the open rain it stays wet. Its place is a room threshold, a bathroom, a kitchen or a sheltered balcony.
