The essentials: a mid top boxing shoe with a marbled, typographic all-over print, in 3 colourways: white, grey and fluorescent green. Hook-and-loop strap across the instep, white sole with pivot discs. 10 sizes from EU 36 to 45 (US men's 4 to 11). €99, free delivery.
A pale gym shoe picks up marks: the ring canvas rubs off on it, the mat scuffs it, gloves land on it. That is why most practitioners end up choosing black. A marbled print solves the problem another way: the pattern is already contrasted, in irregular black and white, so a mark blends into the design instead of showing as a stain on a plain ground.
The same holds for cleaning. On a plain white upper you have to clean the whole thing to get an even finish again; here a wipe over the area concerned is enough.
Three colourways, one print
Marbled white — white ground, black marbling, lettering printed in iridescent white, white sole.
Marbled grey — black ground, grey and white marbling, white lettering, white sole.
Fluorescent green — fluorescent green panels with black and white marbling, white sole.
The print covers the entire upper, midsole included on the white version. The collar is padded and edged in grey.
Hook-and-loop strap and pivot discs
A hook-and-loop strap crosses the instep above the lacing: it pulls the foot against the heel counter and can be tightened one-handed between rounds, wraps on included. Under the sole, three concentric discs are moulded — a wide one under the forefoot, two smaller ones under the heel and the outer edge. These are the pivot points, drawn in circles to give the same resistance in every direction.
What the mid top cut changes
The upper clears the ankle bone by a few centimetres, then is cut away sharply at the back to free the Achilles tendon. In practice: the ankle is held laterally on pivots, and rising onto the toes stays free. It is the most common height in the gym, between the low top that leaves the ankle bare and the high top that runs to the calf.

Good to know: the print is applied to the surface of the textile. Clean it with a damp cloth, without solvent or a stiff brush, which would attack it.

Frequently asked questions
Should you size up in boxing shoes?
Not on this model. The scale is in European sizes: someone who wears a 42 in town takes a 42 here. If needed, measure the length of the foot and apply (3 × length in cm + 4) / 2. If the measurement falls between two sizes, take the larger: a thin sock makes up a few millimetres, the reverse does not.
Does a printed shoe mark less than a plain one?
It shows marks less. The marbled print is already contrasted in irregular black and white, so a scuff blends into the pattern instead of standing out on a plain ground. Cleaning is local rather than total — a wipe over the area concerned.
What are the discs under the sole for?
Turning the foot on the spot. Three concentric discs are moulded under the sole — one wide under the forefoot, two smaller under the heel and the outer edge. Drawn in circles, they give the same resistance in every direction, which a pattern of straight lines does not.
Can the print be cleaned?
With a damp cloth only. No solvent and no stiff brush: the print sits on the surface of the textile and both would attack it.
Are boxing shoes unisex?
Yes. The fit is unisex and the scale European. The width is standard: on a wide foot, taking the next size up and working the lacing gives more comfort than forcing the tightness.
How do you look after boxing shoes?
A damp cloth on the upper and the sole after every session, laces washed separately by hand, air drying. Never on a radiator: direct heat stiffens the assembly adhesives and shortens the life of the sole.
Going further
Low tops free the ankle completely; high tops lock it to the calf. The size and foot length chart is published once on the site, on the low top page. All the models are gathered in the mid top boxing shoes collection.
