The essentials: a mid top boxing shoe in 3 colourways — red and gold, black, white. BOXING lettering on the side panel, an elastic retaining band above the lacing, gum rubber sole on the red and gold version. 9 sizes from EU 39 to 47 (US men's 6.5 to 12.5). €99, free delivery.
A rear-hand hook does not start at the shoulder: it starts at the foot. The rear heel turns outwards, the hip follows, the fist arrives last. That quarter turn happens on a few square centimetres of rubber, and it is the only reason a boxing shoe exists. Too much grip and the foot stays stuck while the knee takes the twist. Too little and the base slides, and the punch goes nowhere.
This pair answers that with a smooth sole, finely ribbed, with no cleats and no aggressive relief. The red and gold version has a gum rubber sole, a natural rubber with little carbon in it, which grips more on ring canvas and on a wooden floor; the black and white versions have a sole in the colour of the upper.
Three colourways, three readings of the lettering
The word BOXING is printed large on the outer panel of all three versions, and its colour changes each time: white on the red and gold, gold on the black, red on the white. At three metres / ten feet you read the word before you make out the material. That is a deliberate choice for a gym shoe.
Red and gold — bright gold overlays on the heel, the forefoot and the eyelet run, red mesh body, red laces, gum rubber sole.
Black — all black, mesh on the forefoot and the collar, black sole.
White — all white, grey mesh on the forefoot, white sole.
What the mid top cut changes
The upper clears the ankle bone by a few centimetres, then is cut away sharply at the back to free the Achilles tendon. In practice: the ankle is held laterally on pivots, and rising onto the toes stays free. It is the most common height in the gym, between the low top that leaves the ankle bare and the high top that runs to the calf.
Above the lacing, an elastic retaining band keeps the bow flat against the upper.

Frequently asked questions
How do you choose your boxing shoe size?
Measure the length of your foot in centimetres, standing, in the evening, heel against a wall, then apply (3 × length in cm + 4) / 2. A 26 cm / 10.2 in foot gives EU 41, a 28 cm / 11 in foot EU 44. The full conversion table is published on the low top page. This model runs from EU 39 to 47.
What is the difference between a mid top and a high top boxing shoe?
The height of the upper. A mid top clears the ankle bone by a few centimetres and leaves the Achilles tendon free. A high top runs to the calf and locks the ankle laterally, with longer lacing. Low tops stop at ankle level.
How much does a boxing shoe weigh?
The market sits between 250 and 450 g / 8.8 and 15.9 oz per shoe depending on the height of the upper and the material. The 300 to 380 g / 10.6 to 13.4 oz band is the one most often found on daily training models. A mid top with a mesh upper sits at the lower end of it.
Why are some boxing soles gum coloured?
Because they are natural rubber with little carbon black in them: the compound keeps its original amber tone. That mix grips more on smooth surfaces — ring canvas, tatami, wooden floor. On this model the red and gold version has it; the black and white versions have a sole in the colour of the upper.
Do these shoes come in large sizes?
Yes, up to EU 47 (US men's 12.5). Most boxing shoe references stop at 45 or 46.
How do you look after boxing shoes?
A damp cloth on the upper and the sole after every session, laces washed separately by hand, air drying. Never on a radiator: direct heat stiffens the assembly adhesives and shortens the life of the sole.
Going further
Low tops free the ankle completely; high tops lock it to the calf. The size and foot length chart is published once on the site, on the low top page. All the models are gathered in the mid top boxing shoes collection.
