All-over printing reverses the process
A conventional print is applied after the garment is made: you print onto a finished hoodie, which confines the artwork to one flat area. That is why most hoodies carry a chest logo and nothing else.
An all-over print works the other way round: the artwork goes onto the fabric panels before assembly. It can therefore cross a seam, wrap an armhole and continue down a sleeve — impossible any other way.
That is why BOXING appears here at different sizes and angles depending on where you look: the design is laid out flat, across the whole surface.
The artwork
Two engraved objects dominate, drawn in tight hatching with cast shadows: a boxing glove straddling the zip and a headguard seen head on, just above it.
Around them the word BOXING returns at five different scales — in script across the chest, on the diagonal along the bottom, small at the sides, and full-length down the sleeves. Diagonal hatching fills the rest. Two colours, black and white, arranged in blocks that flip from one side of the garment to the other.
Because the fabric is printed before assembly, the artwork crosses the seams without a break, hood and cuffs included.
