From €39 to €79 depending on size, free standard shipping.
What a border does to a canvas
A canvas on a bare stretcher stops at its own edge: the image continues over the side and the wall begins immediately after. That reads cleanly on a pale wall, less so on a dark or textured one, where the limit of the work disappears. An outer frame fixes that by creating a border of separation.
It also changes how the image reads: a dark line tightens the picture and raises perceived contrast, a pale line lightens it, a gold or copper line brings out warm tones. Which is why the same canvas looks larger framed than bare. On the black-ground canvases in this collection — and there are many — it is the difference between a piece that stands out and a piece that merges into the wall.
The eight finishes
The outer frame is powder-coated aluminium, a process that bakes the colour onto the metal and holds far better than paint. The eight finishes fall into three families.
Brushed metal: brushed silver, brushed black, brushed gold — the grain of the brushing stays visible in raking light. Solid tones: satin white, violine gold, titanium gold, with warmer reflections. Wood effect: dark walnut and natural wood, imitating grain on metal for a warm look without the upkeep of timber. The kit includes the inner wooden stretcher, the outer aluminium frame, the screws and the instructions.

Worth knowing: match the finish to the dominant colour of the canvas rather than to the wall: brushed gold on warm-toned pieces, brushed black on dark grounds to tighten the image, brushed silver on black and white. Sizes stop at 60 × 90 cm / 24 × 35 in — beyond that the wooden stretcher is the option.
Choosing the right size
Unlike the wooden stretcher, this frame comes in fixed sizes: seven height-and-width pairs, from 20 × 30 cm / 8 × 12 in to 60 × 90 cm / 24 × 35 in. Pick the line that matches the canvas exactly — a 50 × 70 cm / 20 × 28 in canvas takes the 50 × 70 cm frame, with no margin added.
Those seven sizes cover the most common formats in the collection. Beyond 60 × 90 cm / 24 × 35 in, the wooden stretcher takes over, with height and width chosen freely. The size chart by wall type helps you choose the canvas size in the first place.

Frequently asked questions
Which finish should I choose for my canvas?
Match the dominant colour of the canvas, not the wall: brushed gold on warm-toned pieces, brushed black on dark grounds to tighten the image, brushed silver on black and white, natural wood or dark walnut on sepia and aged paper finishes.
What is the difference from the wooden stretcher?
The stretcher only tensions the canvas and stays hidden behind it. This kit adds an outer aluminium frame 3.5 cm / 1.4 in deep that creates a visible border around the image — useful on a dark or textured wall where a bare canvas loses its edge.
What is the largest size available?
60 × 90 cm / 24 × 35 in, across seven fixed sizes: 20 × 30, 30 × 40, 40 × 50, 40 × 60, 50 × 70, 60 × 80 and 60 × 90 cm. Beyond that, or for a format not on the list, the wooden stretcher goes up to 100 cm / 39 in a side with height and width chosen separately.
What does the kit contain?
The inner wooden stretcher, the outer aluminium frame in the chosen finish, the screws and an illustrated instruction sheet. Nothing else to buy.
What is powder coating?
A finish where the colour is applied as a dry powder and then baked onto the metal. It bonds far harder than paint, does not chip on the edges and keeps its shade without yellowing.
How do I clean the frame?
A dry microfibre cloth handles almost everything. On the aluminium, a barely damp cloth with no detergent; on the wood, dry only. No abrasive sponge, no glass cleaner.
