Wembley, 90,000 people, eleventh round
On 29 April 2017, Anthony Joshua fought Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley in front of 90,000 spectators, the largest crowd for a boxing match in Britain since the war. Joshua was put down in the sixth round, got up, and stopped his opponent in the eleventh.
Five years earlier he was not yet a professional: he took the super heavyweight Olympic title at the London Games in 2012, at home, after only four years in the sport.
What you see
Joshua is framed to mid torso on the centre panel, both arms raised, gloves on, eyes turned upwards. The whole image is worked in gold: skin, gloves and ground share the same tone, with flecks suspended across all five panels.
The name is set in two parts on a dark ground: ANTHONY in gold capitals on the left panel, JOSHUA on the right. From 3 m / 10 ft you see a gold and black composition; from 1 m / 3 ft you read the name and pick out the glove lacing.

The five panels go side by side: the image is continuous and reassembles in one piece. Put up the centrepanel first, its middle 145 cm / 57 in from the floor, then add the panels in pairs eitherside, checking the level at each pair. A paper template on the wall before drilling saves redoing the holes.
