A late start, and Wembley five years later
Anthony Joshua did not start boxing until he was 18, in 2007, on a cousin's advice. That is extraordinarily late: most world champions have ten years in a gym behind them by that age.
Five years on he was super heavyweight Olympic champion in London, 2012, in front of his own crowd. He turned professional the following year. On 29 April 2017 he beat Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley in front of 90,000 people.
