Cleto Reyes, Mexico City, 1945
Cleto Reyes opened his workshop in Mexico City in 1945, having worked for a baseball glove maker. His glove is built with the padding distributed differently, leaving the hand freer, which earned it the name of the puncher's glove.
Everlast, for its part, was founded in New York in 1910: Jacob Golomb, 17, started out making swimsuits. Between them the two makers still supply most world championship fights today.
What you see
Two boxers fill the set, separated by a pane of glass shattering at the centre: the shards and cracks run across all five panels.
On the left, the first wears black trunks marked CLETO REYES and is taking a body shot. On the right, his opponent is seen from behind in white fringed trunks, a red Everlast glove raised above him. Two lights shine from the back of the frame. The tones are cold and blue grey, with the red of the glove as the only bright colour. From 3 m / 10 ft you see the impact and the breaking glass; from 1 m / 3 ft the lettering on the trunks and the glove reads.

How to hang a 5 panel canvas
The five panels go side by side: the image is continuous and reassembles in one piece. Put up the centrepanel first, its middle 145 cm / 57 in from the floor, then add the panels in pairs eitherside, checking the level at each pair. A paper template on the wall before drilling saves redoing the holes.
The width rule is the same as for a single canvas: the set covers about two thirds of the width ofthe furniture below it. The size chart by wall type gives the full size-to-placement table.

Frequently asked questions
What size 5 piece canvas should I choose?
The five panels are hung side by side, so what counts is the total width — 50, 100, 150 or 200 cm / 20, 39, 59 or 79 in depending on the grid — not the size of a single panel. Allow the 20 × 35 grid above a chest of drawers, the 30 × 40 grid above a three-seater sofa, and the 40 × 60 grid on a clear wall over three metres / 10 ft.
How do I hang a canvas in 5 parts?
Start with the centre panel, its middle 145 cm / 57 in from the floor, then add the panels in pairs either side, checking the level at each pair. A paper template on the wall before drilling saves redoing the holes.
Does it arrive ready to hang?
Two options in the selector. Without frame: the panels ship rolled in a protective tube with a white border, to be mounted on stretchers. With frame: they arrive already mounted on wooden stretchers, ready to hang. The five stretcher kit covers the panels sold on their own.
What is the difference between a Cleto Reyes and an Everlast glove?
Cleto Reyes, made in Mexico City since 1945, distributes the padding so the hand stays freer — it is known as the puncher's glove. Everlast, New York, 1910, built the first eight ounce fight glove in 1919. Both still supply world title fights.
Are the 5 panels sold together?
Yes. The price covers the five panels, and the grid chosen applies to the set: the panels are not sold separately and ship together.
How do I clean a canvas print?
A dry microfibre cloth handles almost everything. For a mark that stays, use a barely damp cloth with no detergent, wiping across the surface. No abrasive sponge, no glass cleaner.
