The polish works on contrast
The domed surfaces of the gloves are mirror polished while the hollows and joints stay darker. That is what keeps the relief readable on an all-silver bracelet, where an even polish would flatten the shape.

Run a tape around your wrist just below the bone, without pulling, then add 1.5 to 2 cm / 0.6 to 0.8 in of ease. An 18 cm / 7.1 in wrist takes the 20 cm, a 20 cm / 7.9 in wrist takes the 22 cm. In between, take the larger: the clasp can hook a link further along, not shorter.
Good to know: 316L steel takes water and sweat; rinse and dry after the sea or the pool. A microfibre cloth brings the domed surfaces back; do not work into the hollows between links, since their darker tone is what makes the relief read. Take the bracelet off to train, as you would a watch.
