In Rocky (1976), Apollo Creed is the reigning world champion, unbeaten, a complete showman. The Delphi Boxing Academy is his gym: it is where he trains and where he prepares his fights.
The role went to Carl Weathers, a former professional American football player, who would return as the character in the next three films.
