Three letters that came out of a television review
The phrase mixed martial arts was not coined by a governing body but by a journalist. In 1993, the American television critic Howard Rosenberg used it to describe the first UFC tournament, where a judoka, a boxer, a sumo wrestler and a wrestler met with no weight classes. The abbreviation stuck everywhere afterwards.
This neon takes the word on its own: no figure, no logo, three letters in a block that read from one end of a room to the other.
What the visual shows
The letters M M A in thick capitals with pronounced serifs, sitting on a slightly curved baseline that lifts at both ends. The drawing is a double outline: the LED follows the edge of each letter, the centre stays clear. The acrylic backing is cut flush with the lettering.
The ten colours
The colour is set at the order and stays that way: Blue, Orange, Yellow, Warm white, Polar blue, Green, Red, Pink, White and Purple. Warm white leans towards the amber of old signs, polar blue towards a bluish white.

The rule of thumb: a lit piece covers about two thirds of the width of whatever it hangs above, centred 150 cm / 59 in off the floor. The wall size chart sets out the match by wall type, from a desk to a full home-gym wall.

What is the difference between an LED neon and a real gas neon?
A gas neon is a fragile glass tube running on high voltage. LED flex is a soft silicone rope mounted on an acrylic backing: the same continuous line, no glass, no heat, instant switch-on. It is what almost every sign called a neon uses today.
How do you hang an LED neon on a wall?
The clear acrylic backing is drilled around its edge. Plugs and screws go into the wall, then the backing sits flush against them. Allow one fixing point every 30 to 40 cm / 12 to 16 in; standard plasterboard is enough.
What is the difference between MMA and the UFC?
MMA is the discipline: striking, takedowns and ground work under one rule set. The UFC is the American promotion that popularised it from 1993. The UFC neon carries the promotion's logo, this one the name of the sport.
What size should I pick for a bedroom wall?
