The essentials: in a muay thai camp you identify a fighter by his jacket before you know his name: every gym has its animal and its colours. Gold marking in six places. The gold is laid flat, nothing stands proud inside the garment and nothing snags in a kit bag. Hood lined in pale fleece, warmer at the neck than the other jackets here. 6 sizes from S to XXXL, European cut — take your usual size. €59, free standard shipping.
The dragon is a training camp motif
In Thai muay thai camps, every gym carries its animal, its emblem and its colours on the warm-up jacket. You identify a fighter by his jacket before you know his name.
The dragon turns up often. It is not Thai in origin but Chinese — the Thai naga is a water serpent, not a winged dragon — and its place in muay thai comes from long exchange between the two martial cultures.
The flag stitched to the shoulder and the forearm emblems follow the same logic as a club jacket: they mark belonging without anyone having to read a word.
The artwork
Front: DRAGON MUAY THAI in gold capitals across the chest, with a dragon coiling around the lettering and running past it. A small red flag stitched to the shoulder, a lotus on one forearm, a gold circular emblem with Chinese characters on the other.
Back: FIGHT TEAM DRAGON brushed on, and beneath the lettering a fighter mid high kick running down to the hem. Gold on black throughout.
The gold is laid flat on the fabric: nothing stands proud, nothing scratches the skin, nothing snags in a kit bag.
The garment
Full-length zip, hood lined in pale fleece, side pockets, ribbed cuffs and hem. Straight cut.

Our advice: the pale fleece hood lining sets this jacket apart from the others in the collection: it holds more warmth at the neck, which matters on a pre-session garment in winter. Six marked placements make it the most decorated piece we carry.

Frequently asked questions
Why is there a dragon on a Muay Thai jacket?
The dragon is Chinese rather than Thai in origin — the Thai naga is a water serpent, not a winged dragon. Its place in muay thai comes from long exchange between the two martial cultures, and Thai camps have used it as a gym emblem for decades.
Where is the artwork placed?
Six placements: DRAGON MUAY THAI and its dragon on the chest, FIGHT TEAM DRAGON and a fighter on the back, a stitched flag on the shoulder, a lotus and a circular emblem on the forearms. It is the most decorated piece in the collection.
What size should I order?
European cut — take your usual size, with no conversion to apply. Six sizes, S to XXXL (XXXL is the same as 3XL).
Is this jacket warm?
The hood is lined in pale fleece, which holds more warmth at the neck than the other jackets we carry. It is built for before a session and for the walk home.
What do the stitched emblems mean?
The same thing they mean on a club jacket: they mark belonging without anyone having to read a word. It is an old habit of Thai muay thai camps, where the warm-up jacket identifies the gym.
How do you wash a gold printed jacket?
The artwork is applied by heat transfer on PET film, so it holds through the wash without flaking. Machine wash at 30 °C / 86 °F inside out, no tumble dryer, no iron on the print.
