The essentials: round Esprit Boxe focus mitts, a light compact disc format, handmade in black and gold real leather. A concentric target on the gold face for millimetre precision work. Premium high density foam, a mesh-lined palm and a wide wrist strap. Sold as a pair (2 pieces). €59, free standard delivery.
The format chosen by coaches who work a lot of rounds. By dropping the traditional curved shape for a compact disc, this mitt gains in lightness and handling: the arm tires less, target changes are quicker, and the grip stays firm even at the end of a session.
Compact round format: less mass, more speed
The compact design reduces surface and weight compared with a classic focus mitt. In practice, the coach can string rounds together without the shoulders loading up, and reposition the target faster between shots. It is the preferred format for speed, reaction and timing work, where the pace matters more than taking very heavy shots.
The concentric target: precision to the millimetre
The gold striking face carries a target of concentric white rings converging on a black central disc. Unlike a plain aiming point, that structure lets you measure the miss: boxer and coach see instantly whether the impact was on the centre or a ring or two off. An excellent teaching aid for correcting the alignment of the fist on the jab and the cross, and for putting numbers on progress from one session to the next.
Handmade in real leather
Each mitt is made by hand in real leather, with premium high density foam padding. The leather keeps its suppleness and its surface under the repeated friction of gloves, season after season. The hand assembly shows in the finish: a crisp black border, even stitching, a clean black and gold two-tone build. The Esprit Boxe mark and the For the Glory line appear on the striking face and on the strap.
Hold and ventilation
The back combines vented mesh panels and a wide hook-and-loop wrist strap marked Esprit Boxe. The strap wraps the wrist and locks the mitt against the hand: no play on impact. The mesh-lined palm moves sweat away, which keeps the hand from slipping through long series.

Getting the most out of them
- Call the zone: ask for the black centre on straight shots, the outer rings to work the angles.
- High pace: this format is built for fast series, not for taking kicks.
- Locked wrist: present the mitt facing the fist and meet the impact slightly.
- Care: wipe the leather with a dry cloth after each session, air the mesh and let it dry naturally.

Frequently asked questions
Round or classic focus mitts: which should I choose?
The round is more compact and lighter: it favours speed, reaction and precision, with less fatigue over long sessions. The classic curved mitt offers a wider striking surface, more versatile for hooks and heavy shots. Many coaches own both and switch depending on the type of round.
What is the concentric ring target for?
It lets you measure the miss, not just aim. The boxer goes for the black central disc; the white rings show immediately how far off the impact landed. A very effective reference for correcting the alignment of the fist and tracking progress from one session to the next.
Are they real leather?
Yes, real leather, hand-assembled. The leather takes the repeated friction of gloves and keeps its surface after a full season, which makes it the material for mitts held several times a week.
Are they sold singly or as a pair?
As a pair: you receive 2 pieces, one for each hand, with free standard delivery.
Are they suitable for heavy club use?
Yes. The handmade real leather build and the high density foam padding are made for repeated use. Their lightness is even an advantage for a coach working through several boxers in the same session. To absorb kicks or knees, go for a Thai pad or a shield instead.
How do you look after them?
Wipe the leather with a dry cloth after each session, air the mesh panels and let them dry at room temperature. Avoid the washing machine, soaking and direct heat, which harden and crack leather.
