The essentials: a pair of training sticks in soft foam, strong-coloured body on the upper half, black grip on the lower half and a flat strap closed in a loop. The body carries a range name in capitals along its whole length. 4 colours: red, black, white, fluo yellow. €29 the pair, free shipping.
Two sticks, and a flat strap
The pair lets you alternate left and right, straight and sweep, without the coach resetting his hand. The strap here is a flat strap closed in a loop, stitched at the end of the black grip, on sticks sold in pairs in one of 4 colours: it holds the stick when the fingers open on a fast movement.
With two sticks there is no dead time. The coach alternates left and right, straight and sweep, without resetting his hand, which reproduces the real problem of a fight: attacks do not always come from the same side or in the same plane. That is what turns a slipping drill into a reading drill.
The second reason is more practical. With two people, each holds one and the drill becomes reciprocal: you swap attacker and slipper without passing the kit back and forth.
The sticks
Two identical sticks per pack. Each has a coloured foam upper half and a black grip on the lower half, with a clean transition between the two.
The strap here is a flat strap closed in a loop, stitched at the end of the grip. It goes round the wrist and stops the stick leaving the hand when the fingers open during a fast movement.
The coloured section carries lettering in capitals printed along its whole length, in a contrasting tone against the ground.
The 4 colours
Red with white and black capitals, black with white and red capitals, white with black capitals, fluo yellow with black capitals. The grips are black on all four.
The selector labels now state explicitly that this is a pair: "Red — pair", "Fluo yellow — pair", and so on.

How to use two sticks
- Left-right alternation: the coach drives one stick then the other, straight at the head. You slip to the opposite side each time, without stepping back.
- Scissors: both sticks sweep horizontally one after the other, at temple height. You go under by bending the legs, torso upright.
- The frame: both sticks are held vertically at shoulder width, forming a corridor. You move inside it without touching them, which works the real range of your footwork.
- Reciprocal: each takes one and you swap the attacker and slipper roles without passing the kit over.
The tip: start slowly and only build speed once the slip goes in the right plane. A drill taken too fast too early mostly teaches you to step back and shut your eyes, which is exactly what it should be correcting.

- Single training stick — one stick, fluo foam, black grip and a braided cord strap, if you are starting out or replacing a piece.
- Pair of patterned sticks — two sticks with contrasting graphics along the whole length, if you want a visual cue picked up earlier.
- Pair of unmarked plain sticks — two completely smooth sticks, red and black or all black, if you want a plain cue and more difficulty.
All four models are gathered in the boxing training sticks collection.
Frequently asked questions
How many sticks are in the pack?
Two identical sticks, in the colour chosen. The €29 price covers the pair. For a single stick, the single model is 59 cm / 23 in and comes in 4 colours.
Why use two sticks rather than one?
Because the coach can alternate left and right, straight and sweep, without resetting his hand. That removes the dead time between two attacks and reproduces the real problem of a fight: shots do not always come from the same side or in the same plane.
What is a boxing training stick for?
Working slipping, timing and reflexes with a partner. A foam stick coming at the face triggers the menace reflex — the involuntary blink at an object approaching the eye — with no risk of injury, which lets you repeat it until you control it. A punching bag cannot do that: it never comes towards you.
Is the strap adjustable?
It is a flat strap stitched in a loop, of fixed length. It goes round the wrist and stops the stick leaving the hand when the fingers open during a fast movement. The single model uses a braided cord instead.
Which colour for a club?
Fluo yellow and red are picked up earliest in peripheral vision, which helps beginners. Black and white suit experienced boxers, who no longer need such a strong cue.
Can these sticks be used with children?
Yes, supervised: the foam is soft and deforms on contact. Start slow and at distance, aiming at the shoulders rather than the head, then build up. Headgear is not needed for this drill.
