Key facts: the competition boxing ring stands on a 100 cm / 3 ft 3 in platform, the height used for official bouts. Three sizes: 6×6, 7×7 and 8×8 m / 19 ft 8 in to 26 ft 3 in outer footprint, giving 5×5, 6×6 and 7×7 m fighting areas between the ropes — larger on request. Galvanised steel structure that goes together without a single bolt, up in 2 hours, with no fixing to the floor. Acoustic deck and mat, dressing skirt, 3 sets of access steps, Ø 40 mm / 1.6 in ropes with a braided steel cable core. Made to order, 10-year structural warranty, standard delivery included. From €9,990.
One hundred centimetres: that is the platform height amateur boxing regulations settle on, and the height galas are fought at. The competition ring is built to that figure, with the sightlines it gives the crowd and the ringside judges.
Its galvanised steel structure uses a purpose-built design: it goes together without a single bolt, which makes assembly simple and quick — two hours, with nothing fixed to the floor. Acoustic deck, ring mat, a skirt that hides the structure, three sets of access steps and the option of adding lighting: everything is built around the event.
Why choose a competition ring?
It is a professional-grade ring, built for official bouts and for the show. The 100 cm platform puts the boxers at gala height, the skirt hides the whole structure behind a printable surface, and the bolt-free assembly brings the build down to two hours. This is the ring of federations, gala promoters and clubs aiming at the top level.
For a lower, more versatile lift, the raised ring covers 10 to 50 cm. At floor level, see the fixed floor ring or the demountable floor ring.
- 100 cm / 3 ft 3 in platform, competition height.
- Bolt-free assembly, up in 2 hours.
- 3 sets of access steps, one red, one blue, one neutral.
- Large formats: 6×6, 7×7 and 8×8 m.
Sizes available
Three large competition formats:
- 6 × 6 m / 19 ft 8 in ring — 5 × 5 m / 16 ft 5 in fighting area between the ropes.
- 7 × 7 m / 23 ft ring — 6 × 6 m / 19 ft 8 in fighting area between the ropes.
- 8 × 8 m / 26 ft 3 in ring — 7 × 7 m / 23 ft fighting area between the ropes.
- Larger sizes on request at info@esprit-boxe.com.
The size quoted is the outer footprint of the platform. The fighting area between the ropes is set back 50 cm / 19.7 in on each side, so 1 m / 3 ft 3 in less overall; allow the regulation margin and the space taken by the access steps on top of that. The platform ships at 100 cm / 3 ft 3 in, in line with competition practice; a different height is available on request.
How much floor space do you need?
The quoted size is the outer footprint of the platform. Three things are added to it: the regulation clearance of at least 45 cm / 18 in beyond the rope line, the projection of the three sets of access steps, and circulation for officials and spectators. In practice, allow 10 × 10 m / 32 ft 10 in square of free floor for an 8 × 8 m ring, and proportionally for the smaller formats. Height counts too: the 100 cm platform adds to the boxers' height, so check it against your ceiling clearance. The floor must be level and carry the load; no anchoring is needed.

Delivery follows within 6 to 8 weeks, by lorry: the site must be accessible to heavy goods vehicles. Assembly is carried out by the customer: the structure goes together without a bolt and without fixing to the floor, in 2 hours, with instructions and assembly drawing supplied. Lighting can be added as an option.
Warranty
The structure is guaranteed for 10 years, under normal use of the ring.
Competition, raised or Olympic ring?
The competition ring is the official top-of-range option: 100 cm platform, bolt-free assembly, 3 sets of steps, from 6×6 to 8×8 m. The raised ring offers an adjustable lift of 10 to 50 cm for clubs and galas. The Olympic ring holds the exact regulation dimensions. For a filmed gala, the competition ring with corner light towers carries its lighting on its own corner posts, and the hybrid MMA cage converts the same platform into an octagon.
For floor-level training, look at the fixed floor ring, the demountable floor ring or the folding ring.
Frequently asked questions
What size is a regulation boxing ring?
Amateur regulations put the area between the ropes between 4.90 m and 6.10 m / 16 ft and 20 ft a side, on a platform up to 1.20 m / 4 ft high, with at least 45 cm / 18 in of clear platform beyond the rope line. Our 6×6, 7×7 and 8×8 m formats give 5×5, 6×6 and 7×7 m fighting areas.
How high is the platform?
100 cm / 3 ft 3 in, in line with competition practice. A different height is available on request. Three sets of access steps come with the ring, one for each boxer and one for the referee.
How long does assembly take?
2 hours. The structure uses a purpose-built design that goes together without a single bolt and needs no fixing to the floor, with instructions and an assembly drawing supplied.
How much room do I need around the ring?
Allow 10 × 10 m / 32 ft 10 in square of free floor for an 8 × 8 m ring: the regulation clearance beyond the rope line, the projection of the three sets of steps, and circulation for officials and spectators.
Can we display our logo and sponsors?
Yes. The logo is printed on the skirt and the canvas, and you choose the colours of the ropes, turnbuckles, rope spacers, floor covering, skirt and access steps.
Are delivery and assembly included?
Standard delivery is included and goes by lorry, so the site must be accessible to heavy goods vehicles. Assembly is carried out by the customer, with the instructions and assembly drawing supplied.
