What determines the load is the support. The 250 kg / 551 lb quoted applies to the part itself: the load your ceiling will actually take depends on its construction and on the quality of the anchoring. If you are unsure what your ceiling is made of, a professional settles it in one visit. Check the tightness after the first sessions, then periodically.

Does cast iron rust?
It can mark in a damp room, which is normal for the material and does not affect its strength. Wipe it if condensation forms. In a cellar or a basement, stainless avoids the question altogether.
What if my ceiling is not suitable?
Two answers with no drilling into a ceiling: straps around a beam or a branch, and a free standing frame that stands on the floor.
