The Deluxe range is the balance most gyms are after: a light focus mitt with a visible central target, built to take regular use — in 4 bright colours that let you pick your kit out at a glance in a club, or simply match the rest of your gear.
Four colours to choose from
The same model in four two-tone finishes, selected at the time of ordering:
- Orange: the most visible of the four, strong contrast against black.
- Blue: a solid colour with no metallic effect.
- Silver: a metallic finish, the most restrained of the four.
- Yellow: high visibility, useful for working in low light.
Build, dimensions and price are identical from one colour to the next: the choice is purely a matter of taste.
Central target: aim at a point, not a surface
The striking face carries a contrasting oval target at its centre. The boxer no longer aims at the mitt as a whole but at a precise point, which naturally corrects the alignment of the fist on the jab and the cross. The coach sees at a glance whether the impact was centred or off — a particularly useful reference with beginners.
Lightness and shock absorption
The injection moulded interior delivers strong shock absorption while keeping the mitt light. That is what makes speed work possible: the coach moves the target quickly between shots without the arm loading up, and the boxer runs sustained series.
Grip, ventilation and finish
The gusset follows the shape of the hand for a comfortable, stable grip, completed by a hook-and-loop wrist strap. The mesh lining moves sweat away over long sessions, and a vented panel on the back of the hand completes the airflow. The rim takes exposed lacing, stronger than plain stitching on an area under repeated strain, and the PU leather stands up well to the friction of gloves.

Getting the most out of pad work
- Aim at the target: ask the boxer to hit the centre, not simply the mitt.
- Short combinations: 3 to 5 shots (jab, cross, hook) beat long, loose series.
- Locked wrist: present the mitt facing the fist and meet the impact slightly.
- Simulated counters: send a mitt back towards the boxer to make them keep their guard up.
- Care: wipe after each session with a dry or lightly damp cloth, air the mesh and let it dry naturally.

Frequently asked questions
Which colours are available?
Four colours: orange, blue, silver and yellow. It is the same model in all four cases, only the colour changes; you select it at the time of ordering. Build, dimensions and price are identical.
Are they sold singly or as a pair?
As a pair: you receive 2 pieces, one for each hand, with free standard delivery.
How do they differ from the Esprit Boxe mitts in real leather?
The Deluxe is PU leather and comes in 4 bright colours; the Esprit Boxe range is real leather, in black or gold. For regular use and for kitting out a gym where you want to pick your kit out at a glance, the Deluxe covers the need. For a coach holding several sessions a day, real leather moulds to the hand and keeps its surface longer.
What is the central target for?
It gives the boxer a precise point to aim at rather than a surface. That marker corrects the alignment of the fist on straight shots and lets the coach see immediately where the impact landed. A particularly effective teaching tool with beginners.
Do you need gloves to strike them?
Yes. Pad work is done with hand wraps and boxing gloves, generally 10 to 14 oz. Striking bare-handed exposes the knuckles, even against a padded target.
How do you look after them?
Wipe the surface with a dry or lightly damp cloth after each session, air the mesh lining and let it dry at room temperature. Avoid the washing machine, soaking and direct heat.
