The middle format: bigger than a light session bag, easier to handle than a camp bag. 55 cm / 22 in long by 25 / 10 wide and 30 / 12 high, zipped the full length of the top, so you see the bottom without emptying it. Volume is the only criterion that counts
The choice follows what you actually carry each week, not the bag. This one takes gloves, kit, towel, wraps and a pair of shoes: the loaded session and the two night weekend. Below it, a 45 x 23 cm / 17.7 x 9 in barrel covers gloves and kit alone; above it, 65 x 33 x 30 cm / 26 x 13 x 12 in with mesh panels takes a full sparring kit.
Good to know before ordering
Water repellent is not waterproof. Oxford fabric sheds water at the surface: a shower between the car and the gym leaves the contents dry. Under sustained rain, or with the bag standing in a puddle, water eventually finds the seams and the zip. That holds for every gym bag in this class.
One 41 litre space. Shoes and kit travel together, which leaves the whole volume free for whatever you decide to bring. A cheap fabric pouch separates the shoes if you prefer.
Open the bag when you get home and take the gloves out. A zipped barrel closes completely, and gloves dry better in open air. For drying inside the bag, our 70 L brings vented mesh panels.

What fits inside?

Is the bag waterproof?
It is water repellent rather than waterproof: water beads and rolls off the surface, which covers a short shower. Under prolonged rain it finds the seams and the zip. For papers or a laptop, use a separate sleeve.
Does the camo carry a logo?
No, the green, khaki and brown camo covers the whole surface with no brand mark. Only the black parts stand out: handles, the reinforcing band across the top and the shoulder strap. That is also what makes it work outside the gym, as a two night weekend bag.
Does it work as airline cabin baggage?
At 55 x 25 x 30 cm / 22 x 10 x 12 in it exceeds most low cost cabin allowances, often capped at 55 x 40 x 20 cm / 22 x 16 x 8 in or less. A soft bag compresses, but check your airline's gauge before relying on it.
How do I wash it?
Wash at 30 °C / 86 °F, then line dry: the reinforcements hold their shape and the Oxford water repellent finish stays active. A mild detergent with no bleaching agent is enough.
